Superflex Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Drafting From Two Draft Positions At Once

Superflex Fantasy Football Mock Draft: Drafting From Two Draft Positions At Once

Cooterdoodle runs through a DOUBLE Superflex mock draft, drafting from both the 1.03 and the 1.11 on Sleeper.

Wow. I hope this is as good for you as it was for me. Because I mocked SO HARD for you just now. Twice, actually!

Here's my Double Mock 0.5-PPR Fantasy Footbal Mock Draft. I mocked from the FRONT and from the BACK, so you won't have to. And here's what I've learned from the 1.11 and the 1.03.

Draft settings:

  • 12-team
  • 0.5 PPR
  • Superflex

Mock Draft First Round F*ck Ups

Guess what? The good news is that you really can't f*ck things up in the first round! (Unless your name is Justin and you drafted Jalen Hurts 1.05 in our NON-Superflex home league on Saturday. What were you thinking, buddy?!)

Whatever decision you make with your first round pick, it will be an absolute anchor for your team. That is, whether you take QB, WR, RB, or TE in the 1st, that decision will guide your choices in the next few rounds.

As long as you aren't totally jumping the gun and ignoring ADP, the first 12 picks of the draft are relatively defensible in any order.

From the 1.11

Most of my choices were taken from me here. With the top four QBs, three WRs, and three RBs off the board, I didn't have a huge decision to make. Basically, did I want the TE1 who:

*Guys I could never even hope to draft this late on the board

Or juggernaut Ashton Jeanty? I pulled the trigger on Brock Bowers and pushed it for Jeanty. AND GUESS WHAT?! IT WORKED! Jeanty still fell to me in the second.

I need a cold shower, boys!

From the 1.03

Picking at the start of the draft, I had to face the fact that this would be my one and only shot at a top-tier rushing QB. Team 2 made the decision easy for me by taking Josh Allen

With Lamar Jackson as my QB1, I have my SF anchor, and I can feel comfortable waiting late for my second QB if need be. Because I went QB in the first, it's time to beef up at WR and RB for the next few rounds. I can snag a TE later on.

The First Five Rounds of The Superflex Mock Draft: Getting Beefy

These first five rounds have a lot of talent available with very few question marks attached (for the most part). We need to beef up our positions and really go for it.

From the 1.11

I have a strong start with my anchors, Bowers and Jeanty. But it's time to start considering QB before I can beef up the rest of my positions.

With Bo Nix already gone and (for me) a sharp drop-off at QB coming after Baker Mayfield, I had to take one of 2024's top-three passers in yards and touchdowns and lock Mayfield down.

  • Passing Yards: 4,500 (Third)
  • Passing Touchdowns: 41 (T-Second)

Even if Baker "regresses", he's shown that he's got the coaching staff and talent surrounding him in Tampa Bay to continue to produce as a top fantasy ball thrower. Basically, the weapons around him are just too electric for this TD machine to stop.

Now, I need to work on my other starters. As you'll see below from the 1.03 position, I do like TreVeyon Henderson. So if you're drafting with me, you'll have to take him sooner rather than later.

Next, I followed Henderson up with one of Dwain McFarland's "priority targets" from rounds 4-6, Tetairoa McMillan. If Young can perform like he did at the end of last season, this is going to work out pretty swell.

From the 1.03

It's time to beef up my WR/RBs after that juicy Lamar pick. When Dwain McFarland says Nico Collins is a "HIGH-PRIOIRTY pick", I listen. It's that simple. WR1 incoming.

With my third pick, I was tempted to lock up a second QB with my favorite this year: Bo Nix. But like I said earlier, Lamar was my anchor. And looking at the board, I didn't want to miss out on a second WR before the "fall off". Because I saw a WR cliff coming right around the corner, I had to lock in Drake London. I'll get a QB2 later.

Next, I needed to start beefing up at RB. I unfortunately missed out on Omarion Hampton (damn you, Team 5!). So here I was, at a crossroads … Do I take a long-time vet who will have to carry his offense on the ground and through the air, OR the coveted rookie in New England?

Brass balls here! I took Alvin Kamara and pushed it for TreVeyon Henderson. AND GUESS WHAT?! IT WORKED.

I need another cold shower, boys!!

(PSA: Henderson's ADP is rising with each passing day. You may need to get your guy in the 4th of a SF if you really want him - 3rd in 1QB)

Rounds 6-12 Mock Draft Recap: Lock It Up

These rounds are where you really want to "lock up" your positions. If there's any position that hasn't been drafted yet (QB2/TE, I'm lookin' at you, kid), now's the time to get it done.

As you'll notice, I drafted similarly on a few positions during these rounds. Because we're out of the "beefing" phase, we can start to take some chances on guys we want at each position. And well, I want these guys.

From the 1.11

Because this is a Superflex league, I really needed to get my QB2. I took a chance here on a guy that I'm scared to draft, but could have some major upside. What's the upside? Well, my boss had a few nice things to say about Justin Fields here. Let's hope the rushing potential pays off!

As for my next few picks, I wanted some upside receivers with a few late-round RBs to support my sexy Jeanty/Henderson start.

Reasoning: Yes, I passed up on Jaylen Waddle. I like him over Tyreek Hill this year, but I worry about Tua Tagovailoa's long-term health. I passed up on Rome Odunze, who has shown potential, because I don't want to root for the Bears (sorry, rooting for the Saints in real life is painful enough). And I passed up on Jordan Addison because of the looming three-game suspension.

Then at RB, I took a chance on J.K. Dobbins, who might still see work despite the RJ Harvey hype, and Braelon Allen, who is steadily making a name for himself on the Jets offense behind Breece Hall

From the 1.03

Don't tempt me with a good time. I drafted Dobbins from the 1.11, but that's only because I missed out on RJ Harvey from that spot. Here at the 1.03 position, I was able to keep my RB run going with Harvey and D'Andre Swiftone of Freedman's favorite Zero RB candidates—who is projected to catch a lot of balls this season.

Because I've already drafted Nico and London, I'm taking swings at some WR1s on some of my favorite offenses.

AND NOW, I need to LOCK IT IN. I have to secure my QB2 and a TE here. If I'm confident in Meyers and Bowers this season, why shouldn't I feel comfortable in a late-round Geno Smith? Geno ranked fourth in passing yards last season (4,320). If he can just toss a couple more touchdowns in 2025, he could surprise us with a top-10 season at the position. (You hear me, Meyers and Bowers? Get those TDs, boys!)

And as far as late-round TEs go, I could do much worse than Hunter Henry, who saw a career-high in targets, receptions, and receiving yards with rookie Drake Maye in 2024.

Late-Round Dart Throws No Matter What

From both positions, I used my late-round dart throws in the same way. I scrolled down to find two guys that I'm excited about this season.

Could they be wasted picks from Week 1? Sure. Maybe. But at the end of the draft, I'm not taking a kicker or defense. I'm drafting guys that could either:

  1. Benefit tremendously from a step up on the depth chart
  2. Have already shown promise this preseason

RB dart throw: Miami's hot, new RB Ollie Gordon, who has sparked a lot of conversation this week. Not only is De'Von Achane experiencing a soft tissue injury, but next-man-up Jaylen Wright just hasn't looked great so far. Why not take a shot on a guy with the potential for moving up AND a spark on offense this preseason?

WR dart throw: Have I mentioned that I love Bo Nix? Why not take a shot at rookie WR Pat Bryant, who has started to make a name for himself in Denver? In his second preseason game, he caught four of five targets for 70 yards. With a super accurate QB who outplayed all rookie QBs in 2024? Yeah, I'll take it.
