NFL Parlay Picks for Week 2: Bet on Geno and the Jets

Matt LaMarca shares his four-leg parlay play for Week 2 of the NFL season, including a moneyline bet on the underdog Jets.

Published

Our parlay picks were a mixed bag for Week 1. There was definitely some good. The Vikings managed to beat the Packers, while the Saints were a failed two-point conversion away from a big upset of the Lions. However, there was also some bad. The Buccaneers fumbled away any chance of beating the Bengals, while Rico Dowdle never got going for the Steelers.

That’s the downside of parlays. You need to be absolutely perfect. If you’re not, you’re going to come up short.

The upside is that you don’t have to be right very often. Just one parlay hit can carry you through an entire season, and that’s the goal of this article. Well, that and having fun. There aren’t many better sweats as a sports bettor than sweating out the final leg of a parlay.

Let’s dive into some of my favorite parlay pieces for NFL Week 2. These four bets are available at different price points and can be combined or used separately in your own parlays.

NFL Parlay Picks for Week 2

The Underpriced Favorite

Seahawks ML (-190) at Cardinals

I touched on the Seahawks in my Week 2 Best Bets article. I like the idea of laying -3.5 with them, so getting them on the moneyline is also very appealing.

The Seahawks will have to survive without Sam Darnold at quarterback, but I don’t think that should be a huge issue. Drew Lock looked competent in relief of Darnold last week, and he should be completely fine as the team’s starter. All he has to do is get the ball in the hands of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and he should do most of the work. That’s pretty much all he did last week, and that was against a strong Patriots’ defense.

On the other side, the narrative around the Cardinals has completely flipped in the public eye. They went from a team that was expected to be among the worst in football to one that could be competitive. That’s the exact type of overreaction that I’m looking to fade in Week 2.

The Underdog

Jets ML (+164) vs. Packers

Speaking of Week 1 overreactions, is it possible that the Jets are…kind of good? I’m definitely not sold yet, but there were some clear positive takeaways from their dismantling of the Titans.

The biggest development was Geno Smith. He looked completely washed with the Raiders last year, but he was among the most impressive QBs in football in Week 1. He had a near-perfect on-target throw percentage, and he earned one of the top PFF grades at the position.

The Jets also looked fast. They had five of the 20 fastest ball-carriers in NFL Week 1, which seems impossible:

Add in a strong offensive line, and the Jets’ offense could be greatly improved from last year’s disaster.

The Jets seem like live dogs in Week 2 vs. the Packers. They’re catching Green Bay at an excellent time. They’re still without both Josh Jacobs and Micah Parsons, limiting them on both sides of the ball. The Parsons injury seems particularly important. Dating back to last season, they’re now 0-5 in games without their star edge rusher. They allowed the Vikings to score 39 points without him last week, though part of that came in garbage time.

The Jets are all the way down to +3.5 on the spread after being listed at +5.5 before the start of Week 1. I like them to cover the number, and if they can do that, they can win the game outright.

The Longshot

Giants ML (+295) at Rams

Let’s stick with New York. Like the Jets, the Giants were among the most impressive teams in football in Week 1. They were able to beat the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, which is something they haven’t done often in recent years. Before last week, the Giants were just 1-9 against Dallas over their previous 10 meetings.

Their offense looked really efficient against Dallas. Jaxson Dart was in complete control, and having Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely gives him two weapons that he didn’t have at his disposal last year. Cam Skattebo is also healthy (for now) and ran like his hair was on fire. Their defense also impressed, holding an outstanding Cowboys’ offense to the fifth-fewest yards in Week 1.

Asking the Giants to beat the Rams is a clear step up in weight class, but the Rams do have some vulnerabilities. For starters, they’re going to be without Myles Garrett in this matchup, and it’s their first game back in the US after playing in Australia. It could take them some time to adjust.

Additionally, it’s important to remember that Matthew Stafford is nearly 39 years old. Even though he was the MVP last season, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if he took a step back in 2026-27. The Rams don’t have a ton of depth, so they need their biggest stars to play like it. If they don’t, this season could be a massive disappointment.

The Touchdown Prop

Deebo Samuel Anytime TD (+210)

This is one of my favorite bets this week regardless of type. The 49ers have to deal with the same travel issues as the Rams, but they get a significantly easier opponent in the Dolphins. Given how Miami looked last week, the 49ers could show up with their C+ game and still potentially hang 30 on Miami.

Deebo Samuel should be a big part of the equation. His 21% target share in Week 1 was tied with Mike Evans for the team lead at receiver. He did that on just a 53% route participation, resulting in a massive 37% TPRR.

With De’Zhaun Stribling sidelined, Samuel could be an even bigger part of the equation in Week 2. The 49ers already like using him around the goal lineoccasionally even as a running backso getting Samuel at better than 2-to-1 in a matchup where they’re implied to nearly 30 points feels like a steal.

Final Parlay: Roughly +4800

You obviously don’t have to play all four of these together. You can sprinkle them in with some of your own bets. However, if you were to place these four bets together, you’d get a payout of around +4800. This will be just a very small portion of my overall Week 2 portfolio, but I’ll definitely have a piece of this parlay. Again, all we need to hit is one of these over the course of an 18-week season for them to be profitable, and I think we can pull it off.
