Super Bowl Futures Picks Ahead of Week 6: Buy The Ravens
Kody Malstrom highlights three Super Bowl futures picks offering value as we enter Week 6 of the 2026 season.
A quarter into the year, the top contenders have started to pull away from the rest of the field, giving us a clear picture of which teams are capable of making the playoffs. Whether it is due to the high level of play on the field or a favorable schedule helping string together wins, below is a breakdown of three of my favorite Super Bowl futures picks heading into Week 6.
Super Bowl Futures Picks for Week 6
As a reminder, the goal of this biweekly column is to build a portfolio that will lock in a profit no matter which team hoists the Lombardi Trophy.
Baltimore Ravens (+850, Fanatics)
No Lamar Jackson, no problem. Baltimore was able to squeak out the win over Atlanta in overtime, padding the Ravens' lead for first in the AFC North. Tyler Huntley was productive under center, gashing the Falcons secondary for 201 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
While Huntley is arguably one of the best backups in the league, the Ravens' abundance of talent at every position helped brush aside regression, flashing the depth that is needed to make a run at the Super Bowl. When Lamar is on the field, the Ravens are lethal, ranking near the top of the board in DVOA and in EPA per play. Jackson’s presence also helps create space in the middle for Derrick Henry, making them one of the most versatile units in the league.
On the other side of the ball, the Ravens have started to climb back up the board in EPA allowed per play while Nnamdi Madubuike gives them the production they need in the trenches to stuff the run at a higher rate. If Baltimore's front seven can continue to ascend while Madubuike stays healthy, the Ravens will be well equipped to compete with the top of the AFC, making them a buy at the current odds.
Detroit Lions (+2600, DraftKings)
No, this is not an overreaction to the Detroit Lions win over the Arizona Cardinals. The defense still has major red flags littered all over the secondary, fielding a back end that ranks 29th in dropback EPA allowed per play and 28th in dropback success rate. When the defensive line is unable to generate pressure, the Lions are vulnerable to getting picked apart while opposing QBs create explosive plays at a high rate.
Fortunately for the Lions, the offense has started to get into a groove, helping reduce the amount of variance in the contests on a weekly basis. The offensive line has also been able to give Jared Goff the protection he needs to reduce the amount of havoc in his throws, entering the bye ranked in the top-10 in true pass block set grade. Bet the Lions now at a discount with intentions of hedging in the playoffs when the quality of the opponent ramps up.
Cincinnati Bengals (+2700, FanDuel)
Like the Lions, the Cincinnati Bengals also possess one of the easiest remaining schedules in the league, making it easier to keep pace with the top of the AFC. The Bengals' resurgence on defense has helped turn them into a more efficient unit as a whole, ranking above league average in EPA allowed per play.
With the Las Vegas Raiders harshly regressing on defense while Aaron Rodgers handicaps the Pittsburgh Steelers' ceiling on offense, the AFC is actually a lot thinner than it appears, giving the Bengals a great opportunity to secure one of the wild-card spots. Place a wager on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl at +2700 before the odds steadily decline as the season progresses.
