Week 7 of the NFL season is here. It's crazy that the regular season is ⅓ of the way over; it feels like it just started. We are starting the week off with a TNF matchup between the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots. The Bears are 2.5-point favorites in a 49.5-point total at home. This should be an exciting close game!

I'm going to break down my DraftKings NFL DFS picks for the showdown slate. First, I'll highlight some players that I want to target in the captain spot, who get a 1.5x FP boost. High-upside players are who I want to target here, and the lower the ownership, the better. I will then break down some FLEX plays I like to round out your lineups. Let's dive into it!

Week 7 TNF CHI vs. NE DraftKings NFL DFS Showdown Picks

NFL DFS Captain Picks For Bears vs. Patriots on DraftKings

Caleb Williams - CHI QB ($15,600): Caleb comes in as my favorite captain pick here. He is easily the most optimal and is definitely the cash game captain for this showdown. After missing three games with a hamstring injury, Williams returned in Week 6, going 30/36 for 305 yards and a touchdown. Williams can also get it done with his legs, as he ran for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first two games of the year, which gives him a nice floor. The Bears offense topped 30 points in Week 6 for the first time since their 59-point explosion in Week 1, and with Chicago a home favorite in a 49.5 total, I'm comfortable with Caleb at the captain in any format.

A.J. Brown - NE WR ($13,500): Brown is my preferred Patriots pass catcher at captain. He returned in Week 6 after missing four games on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, having 3 catches for 27 yards. But the usage was exactly what we wanted to see. He led the team with 10 targets and played 52 of 67 snaps. After a quiet first game back, I expect Brown to be lower owned than he should be, which makes him a great leverage spot in GPPs.

D'Andre Swift - CHI RB ($14,700): My third captain pick is D'Andre Swift. He found the end zone twice in Week 6, including a 2-yard run on third-and-goal, and with Kyle Monangai banged up with a toe injury, Swift is the lead back in the Bears' run-heavy attack. Through the first four games of the season, he had 311 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, and the Bears led the NFL in rushing yards per game. Chicago is a home favorite, and a game script where they lean on the ground game and finish drives is right in his wheelhouse. I like getting to Swift at captain in GPPs to differentiate from the Caleb builds.

DraftKings NFL DFS FLEX Picks For Bears vs. Patriots

Drake Maye - NE QB ($10,600): Maye had a rough start to the year, throwing six interceptions through his first three games, but he has since picked it up. He has thrown at least three touchdowns in three straight games, and in Week 6 he went 18/32 for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Jets. He also added 24 rushing yards. Over his last three games, he has had 103 rushing yards and a score. Maye is a tough choice against Caleb at captain, but he is a great flex play, especially in a stack with Brown. Love him here in the flex

Colston Loveland - CHI TE ($6,400): Loveland was a disappointment early on, but the return of Caleb Williams has gotten him right back on track. He caught 6 of his 7 targets for 65 yards and his first touchdown of the season in Week 6, a 14-yard score on the opening drive. He has now recorded four or more receptions in three of his last four games, and he is clearly a favorite target for Williams. I like Loveland as a Bears pass catcher to round out Caleb lineups.

Kyle Williams - NE WR ($1,800): Williams is projected to be the best value play on the slate. He played nearly 40% of snaps in Week 6 and finished with 1 catch for 12 yards. He's popping in a ton of optimals right now and is overall the top point-per-dollar play on the slate. The absence of Romeo Doubs fares well for him, as he will remain in the WR3 role for the Pats. There isn't much other good value here, but some playable options are Eli Raridon ($2,200), and if going way down low, Sam Roush ($600) is viable as a dart throw.
