Week 6 DraftKings NFL DFS Picks: George Pickens, Tetairoa McMillan, Justin Herbert and More

Geoff Ulrich recommends the Week 6 NFL DFS picks for DraftKings, highlighted by players like George Pickens, Bryce Young, Tetairoa McMillan and Justin Herbert.

We’re on to Week 6 of the NFL season, that means it's time to switch your focus to daily fantasy lineup building and taking a shot at some of those huge prize pools available every week in the DFS streets.

Today’s goal?

Week 6 Picks for DraftKings GPPs and the Fantasy Football Millionaire

I’ll be breaking down my favorite plays and stacks here every week while also highlighting a few GPP-only and higher variance plays that I think offer great 5x blowup potential—at low ownership.

These plays and salaries will be specific to DraftKings and their salary cap contests.

However, since we’re also relying on the FantasyLife+ projections, tools and advice, the specific game matchups and correlations (aka, game stacks) are things you can apply to lineup building across the DFS industry.

If you'd like my favorite plays and GPP targets that are specific for FanDuel, you can also find that here.

Let’s dive in. Week 6!!

We have some big favorites on the slate in Packers, Rams and Colts. With some injury issues at RB there is also going to be some condensed ownership at RB in Carolina (Rico Dowdle) and Tampa Bay (Rachaad White).

There are a lot of decent upside spots on the slate and I’ve targeted two of my favorites for building a game stack and also a few one-off mega values to consider to help differentiate.

DraftKings Week 6 Stacks

  1. Cowboys-Panthers Contrarian Build

I can’t be helped but get pulled back in on the cheap price we’re getting on Young again in Week 6. His $4800 salary is appealing on its own, but he’ll have multiple other tailwinds helping him in Week 6.

The first is the obvious benefit he gets from playing the Cowboys. Dallas has allowed the the most fantasy points to opposing QBs this year by a wide margin (2.77 FPPG more than Baltimore) and have allowed multiple TD passes against in each of their last four games, including 283 yards and 2 TDs to the non-pocket passing Justin Fields in Week 5.

Young could also get a big boost with both Jalen Coker (questionable - thigh) and Ja'Tavion Sanders (questionable - ankle) potentially returning to action this week, which will force defenses to do more than just double team Tetairoa McMillan all game long. Coker will present a real mismatch problem for Dallas in the slot due to his size and looks like the healthier of the two at the moment after he practiced in full all week. Most of Young’s best games last year also came when Coker was healthy and the second-year WR put up 110 yards and a TD on just 4 receptions vs. the Cowboys last November.

A Panthers triple-stack with two WRs will likely be low-owned, but we can get more contrarian by leaving out both the RBs from this game. George Pickens had a very quiet Week 5 with just two catches, but if we’re playing for an outburst of scoring and yards by the Panthers than you have to expect he’ll be much busier in Week 6. Regardless, the Panthers have been regressing vs. the pass of late, and have now allowed over 100 yards and over 16.0 yards per catch to each of the last two No. 1 WRs they’ve faced, in Stefon Diggs and Jaylen Waddle

No offense to either of those two but Pickens likely has both beat from a pure upside/big-play perspective and will again get lots of primary targeting with CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin both out. It’s a good spot to deploy him in non-Javonte Williams lineups, as you’ll gain significant leverage on the field given how popular a target Williams will likely be this week.

  1. Chargers' Passing Dominance vs Miami

Justin Herbert enters averaging 30.6 yards per game rushing and could overshoot that mark by a lot against this Miami rush defense which ranks 30th in EPA per rush. Overall, the Dolphins is just a fantastic get-right spot for any opposing QB as they’re now allowing the third most FPTS per game to the position and are dead last in success rate vs. the pass. He should rebound with a big game here.

Herbert also makes sense in this spot because of how cheap all of the Chargers WRs are. None are more than $6000 and with all three coming off average weeks, we shouldn’t expect high ownership on any of them. While it does set up as another great spot for the TD-master Quentin Johnston, he has been dealing with a hamstring injury and had the lowest output of all three WRs vs. the Commanders.

I’d rather stack Herbert with his former BFF from 2024 in McConkey, who out-targeted Johnston 7-4 last week and also found the end zone for the first time (twice if you count his called back punt return TD). Using McConkey alongside the reliable Allen also makes sense, as the Hampton injury should lead to more short passes where Allen excels.

🌑 Week 6 DFS Moonshots:

Tyjae Spears (4500)

There has been lots of coachspeak this week about getting Spears more involved, especially as a receiver. He’ll face a Raiders defense that is great at stopping the run, but just 28th in EPA vs. the pass and could be in for a big PPR day.

Isaiah Bond ($3700)

Eight targets last week, many of which were downfield. Now he gets to face a Steelers defense that has allowed the sixth-most FPPG to opposing WRs and is just 23rd in EPA per dropback.

Tez Johnson ($3,200)

Chris Godwin is out and Johnson is coming off a career-best game where he went for 4 receptions on 4 targets for 59 yards. He posted the best three-cone time of the draft and the Buccaneers should be looking to get him out in space again a lot this week.
