Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets: Antonio Williams, Germie Bernard & More

Sam Wallace outlines four players to pursue in trades in your dynasty fantasy football leagues.

As we progress through the season, you should have a clear understanding of the direction your team is heading this season—whether it's going to compete or if you should start to strategize for next season. With that in mind, let's look at four dynasty fantasy football trade targets to consider who have both short- and long-term upside.

Trade Targets For Dynasty Fantasy Football Ahead Of Week 6

Antonio Williams | WR | Commanders

Jayden Daniels made an incredible return in Week 5 by throwing for nearly 200 yards, rushing for 100+ yards, and accounting for two total TDs.

His return now raises the floor for every offensive playmaker for the Commanders the rest of the season (and beyond). While the passing game will still center around Terry McLaurin (31 years old), he's not someone I would be looking to invest in long term.

That's why rookie wideout Antonio Williams is getting a bit more buzz. Despite the somewhat underwhelming box scores, Williams has been low-key involved this season. He has 22 targets and a TD over his first five games with a 15% target share.

While Williams is also competing for targets with fellow veteran wideout Stefon Diggs (hamstring), he's another player I wouldn't be overly concerned about beyond the 2026 season.

Even heading into this season, there was a strong feeling of optimism around Williams and the type of player he could become. Dwain McFarland noted as much in his Antonio Williams prospect profile:

Williams' closest Super Model comps:

  • Rashee Rice
  • Jaylin Noel
  • Khalil Shakir

There are some intriguing names on that list that should at least catch your eye. Let's hope Williams can continue his growth this season, especially now that Daniels is back under center.

Germie Bernard | WR | Steelers

Don't look now, but Aaron Rodgers is on a heater over his last three games. In that span, he's thrown three TDs in each game while topping 30 fantasy points in each contest.

I previously wrote about Germie Bernard as a viable dynasty target for 2027, but it's looking like he could find his way into your starting lineup (or at least onto your bench) much sooner than that.

Coming into the league, the 47th overall pick from Alabama demonstrated the size (6-foot-1/206 pounds), speed (4.48-second 40-yard dash) and agility (best-in-class 6.71-second three-cone) to produce all over the field. We finally saw him put it together in Week 5.

With Michael Pittman (foot) on IR and Roman Wilson (finger) expected to miss multiple weeks, Bernard stepped up to the tune of:

  • 9 targets
  • 6 receptions
  • 80 receiving yards

He has yet to score his first NFL TD, but it's coming. Now that there's at least one (likely two) wideouts slated to miss extended time, Bernard should have no problem establishing a strong connection with Rodgers.

Historically, Rodgers and rookies haven't quite meshed very well. Bernard already has two games with 8+ targets and is certainly a strong candidate to break that trend. He'll likely be a popular waiver target in redraft leagues this week, but he still holds good value in dynasty fantasy football formats as well.

Denzel Boston | WR | Browns

Have you noticed the unmistakable trend? We're far enough into the season that rookie wideouts are starting to make their presence felt both on the field and in the final box score.

In his first five NFL games, Denzel Boston has topped 10+ PPR four times. He also has either a TD or 85+ receiving yards in four games. It might not seem like game-breaking production, but that's meaningful for a rookie who is looking to establish himself as a viable, consistent option.

Boston also has excellent underlying metrics. Here's what our Utilization Report—presented by tenex.ai—has to say, along with his team rank in each category:

  • Snaps - 91% (1st)
  • Route - 95% (1st)
  • Targets - 20% (1st)
  • Air Yards - 48% (1st)

Needless to say, Boston is certainly trending in the right direction. A more consistent target share and a better overall offensive environment have the opportunity to push him into a much higher tier of players in the very near future.

In fact, Ian Hartitz made an intriguing case for Boston in his team overview of the Browns:

The 6-foot-4, 212-pounder possesses a pretty damn fun combination of great contested-catch ability and underrated route-running … solid traits, at a cheap cost, in a fairly wide-open passing game. Not the worst package to target.

This team has been one that's produced viable fantasy contributors in the past, and we just might finally be seeing a clear picture of the future of this passing game. The market likely hasn't caught up with Boston yet, so I would encourage taking action sooner rather than later.

Pat Freiermuth | TE | Steelers

Two Pittsburgh Steelers players in the same dynasty-focused article?!

To be fair, dynasty fantasy football leagues aren't always about only looking to the future. If you are in a position to make a deep playoff/championship push this season, then you have to make the necessary adjustments to maximize your window of opportunity.

That's how I feel about Pat Freiermuth.

As previously mentioned, Rodgers has thrown 10 TDs this season, and half of them have gone to the TE position.

If you drafted Colston Loveland (for example), and have been waiting for some sort of production, anything at all, you may want to think about streaming Freiermuth. It's not a conversation or a decision I thought I would be having in Week 5, but we have to remain flexible and do what we think is best for our fantasy teams.

Especially now that bye weeks are upon us, streaming players at onesie positions becomes even more important. Be like Rodgers, lean into the TE position, and let Freiermuth bolster your lineup and net you a key win or two in the coming weeks.
