Omar Cooper And More To Trade For In Dynasty Fantasy Football

Sam Wallace profiles a trio of young wide receivers to target in the dynasty fantasy football trade streets.

The first three wideouts covered in this piece are all guys who came off Injured Reserve this past weekend. It's a great reminder to keep an eye on injury reports, recovery timelines, and practice statuses, as there may be opportunities to land guys on your bench before they become productive, weekly contributors on the field.

Players To Trade For In Dynasty Fantasy Football Ahead Of Week 7

Omar Cooper, WR - Jets

Former National Champion Omar Cooper had one catch for 30 yards in Week 1 before landing on IR due to an ankle injury. However, despite the missed time, it doesn't appear as though Cooper has lost a step.

In Week 6, he finished with a productive 6-103-1 line on a team-leading 7 targets.

Despite the one-game sample size, it was both surprising and encouraging to see him post better marks across the board than teammate Garrett Wilson. While that certainly isn't something we should anticipate seeing every week, it provided a great boost to Cooper's dynasty value even after just one full game.

The 30th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft boasts 4.42-second speed and a 6-foot, 199-pound frame that allows him to excel in all areas of the field.

Let's be clear … the Jets are still the Jets, and they aren't likely to support multiple high-end fantasy contributors each week from here on out. That said, from a dynasty perspective, Cooper slots in nicely as a No. 2 alongside the aforementioned Wilson.

Buying high after one good game might not quite be the move right now, but he's certainly someone I am keeping an eye on in the weeks ahead. If there happens to be a down game (which will happen at some point), prioritize this talented rookie.

Ja'Kobi Lane, WR - Ravens

Like the aforementioned Cooper, Ja'Kobi Lane made his first appearance this past weekend after suffering a wrist injury back in Week 1 that landed him on IR.

In Week 6, Lane posted a respectable 4 catches and 40 yards on 5 targets. He'll likely never assume the overall WR1 for the Ravens due to the presence of Zay Flowers, but similar to Cooper, Lane has the opportunity to carve out a still-meaningful role.

Tyler Huntley got the start again this weekend as Lamar Jackson (ankle) works his way back to full strength. It is worth noting that Jackson avoided IR, so I would be surprised if we don't see him relatively soon.

Even if Lane needs to establish chemistry with Jackson after a strong start with Huntley, I wouldn't be overly concerned. The talented Round 3 pick from this past spring stands at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, and overall has a strong athletic profile. He'll continue to find his way onto the field and earn opportunities as this Ravens offense remains one of the most explosive in the league.

He'll likely have weeks where he hits on a big play or two and scores a TD, and there will be weeks when he disappoints. Even so, Lane is the type of player on the type of offense I want exposure to across my dynasty fantasy football leagues.

Savion Williams, WR - Packers

As a resident Packers fan, it was fun to see Savion Williams getting touches early and often on Sunday Night Football. Like the aforementioned Cooper and Lane, Williams (ankle) was making his first start since returning from injury, and the early returns were promising.

Williams hauled in all 4 targets for 32 yards. It's not just the box score that is encouraging; it's the way in which he gets the ball. The Packers made it a point to manufacture opportunities for Williams around the line of scrimmage, creatively getting him the ball in space and letting him go to work.

His size (6-foot-4/222 pounds) and 96th-percentile speed score make him an intriguing after-the-catch (YAC) type player.

Certainly, this passing game will funnel through both Christian Watson and Matthew Golden, but the utter lack of an effective running game could force the team to continue finding unique ways of getting Williams the ball around the line of scrimmage.

I wouldn't be looking for consistent, weekly production from Williams yet, but he fits the profile of someone I want to stash on my bench, especially in dynasty formats.

Jaylin Noel, WR - Texans

As a rookie, Jaylin Noel appeared in all 17 games for the Texans but had an otherwise wildly underwhelming Year 1. He finished with:

  • 35 targets
  • 26 receptions
  • 292 receiving yards
  • 2 TDs

Through Week 6 of his sophomore season, he already has more receiving yards (on fewer targets and receptions) and a pair of TDs. The Year 2 breakout might be loading for Noel, and fantasy managers better start paying attention.

Over his last three games, Noel has averaged 77 receiving yards and has scored twice. While this passing attack will still run through Nico Collins, Noel has started to make a strong case for being even more involved in the weeks and months ahead. Even with the arrival of Marvin Harrison Jr., there's no reason to suspect that Noel won't continue to be a featured target for C.J. Stroud.

What makes Noel especially intriguing in this offense is his size. Standing at 5-foot-11 and 201 pounds, he's the ideal slot complement for Collins (6-foot-4, 222 pounds).

Stroud is still on his rookie contract and has his eyes set on that first, big extension. I'm confident that he'll be doing everything he can to convince the Texans that he's worthy of that next payday. Noel should continue to play a key role in this offense moving forward.
