5 Fantasy Football Bold Predictions: Bo Nix Finishes Among Top QBs

We are less than a week away from the season kicking off, and I truly believe we’ve left no stone unturned here at Fantasy Life as far as getting you prepared for your drafts.

With that said, I’d like to let some hot takes fly.

I’m generally a pretty measured analyst—if anything I often get accused of not having strong enough takes as a best ball bro—so let’s get spicy with 5 bold predictions for 2026.

No advanced analytics, just vibes, baby …

1) Bo Nix finishes as a top-5 QB. Nix averaged the same PPG as Dak Prescott last year (18.2) and that was after Prescott was gifted George Pickens to his arsenal. What happens when Nix—who already offers a nice ceiling with his legs—gets Jaylen Waddle (this year’s Pickens) added into the mix?

2) One of De’Zhaun Stribling or Ja’Kobi Lane is this year’s Puka Nacua. There will never be another Puka, but let me indulge in some hyperbole with these two rookie WRs who have crushed the preseason and impressed all observers. Both play in 1) elite offensive schemes with 2) fragile, veteran depth charts. If there is a 2026 Puka, it is one of these two.

3) George Kittle finishes as a top-5 TE. If you doubt my conviction on Kittle, just know that I wrote him up as a must-draft player for the Fantasy Life Magazine … on April 1 (no joke, no fools). Since then, all we’ve heard is positive news about his rehab from a major injury and now he’s headed to Australia with a strong chance to play Week 1. The typical rules do not apply to unicorns like Kittle. Buy the injury discount and build a late-season juggernaut.

4) One of Emmett Johnson, Kaelon Black or Malik Davis will be a league-winner. It’s always trippy when names we barely recognize become relevant late in the offseason, but all three of these guys have emerged as clear RB2s on elite offenses. Johnson in KC, Black in SF, and Davis in DAL all have massive contingent upside if the starter were to go down.

5) Luther Burden (top-12 WR), Colston Loveland (No. 1 TE) and Caleb Williams (top 5-QB) all smash their ADP. Ben Johnson said he wants to score a bajillion points this year … and I believe him.

Bank on Drake Maye’s Rise to Stardom

For all the people who a year ago were calling Drake Maye a sleeper, who could have predicted a near-MVP season? After passing for 4,394 yards and 31 TDs, adding in 450 rushing yards and 4 scores, and finishing tied for fourth with 20.4 fantasy points per game, Maye has risen the ranks to superstar status. Now he just got A.J. Brown added to the WR room. He’ll be 24, is projected for another big year and forward-thinking fantasy managers can see Maye as a QB they can count on for years to come.

It’s All About The Upside With These WRs

We’re all in search for upside when it comes to our fantasy drafts. Get that player in the seventh round who can pop and be a top-10 performer. Or snag that QB in the double-digit rounds who ends up giving you a blazing-hot three-game run during the fantasy playoffs. That’s the dream, at least.

Don’t Sleep On These Quarterbacks

Not everyone can get Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson in the early rounds of fantasy drafts. In a 12-team league, that means 10 teams are going to be waiting at QB. And sometimes waiting some more. Believe us, there are players who are worth that wait.

Kody Malstrom identified three QBs who are going in the double-digit rounds who fantasy managers must keep in mind. Here are some hints for each:

He was 2nd in 2024 in pass TDs as a late-round hit
He’s annually a good bet to pass for 4,000 yards and 30+ TDs
Former draft bust may be this year’s dual-threat breakout
