Yesterday was one of those days that make you question why you chose fantasy football as a hobby.

Did you draft a lot of Bears? Well, Caleb Williams hurt his hamstring and the team scored three total points vs. the Vikings. If you thought Colston Loveland (1-3) and Luther Burden (3-32) were buy lows last week, you’re going to love buying even lower this week!

Did you draft Jayden Daniels? Well, it looks like he dislocated his elbow again and will miss a significant amount of time. Hopefully Stefon Diggs (5-47-2) at least gets his managers a pyrrhic victory in Week 2.

Did you draft any of these guys? Mike Evans, Jadarian Price, J.K. Dobbins, Rico Dowdle, Jonathon Brooks, Jayden Reed, Caleb Douglas Dallas Goedert …because they all got hurt and left the game early.

Did you play the Bucs in Survivor? There’s no way Baker Mayfield lost at home to Deshaun Watson, right? Right?! * Natalie Portman meme *

Will the Chargers ever win another game? Honestly? Probably not. They are 0-2 and this is their next 7 games: @ BUF, @ SEA, DEN, @ KC, @ LAR, HOU, @ BAL. Gulp.

So ya, it’s bleak out there … but if there is one silver lining it’s that the elite WRs absolutely smashed yesterday:

OK, that last one is hilarious (and very real), but you get the point.

Early Week 3 Waiver Wire: Grab Young WRs

When it comes to young wide receivers, one good week becomes something to watch. Two weeks, now we have something where we need to set aside some FAAB dollars on the waiver wire. That’s because there likely won’t be a third week.

When it comes to young wide receivers like Denzel Boston and Adonai Mitchell, the early trends make them players that Alex Cupps would like you to target on the waiver wire. He makes compelling cases for both of them, as well as others in the Early Week 3 Waiver Wire column. ⤵️

Winners/Losers From Week 2: Waddle Up

Were you worried after Week 1? Admit it, you were. So were we. Jaylen Waddle was much ballyhooed after he came over to the Broncos to be their WR1. Then he laid an egg with a 1-2-0 debut for Denver. Week 2 and his 8-138-0 performance made things a lot better. A LOT better.

Adam Pfeifer also felt relief after he’d touted Waddle all offseason. The WR was one of the headliners of the Week 2 Winners & Losers edition.
