Fantasy Football DvP Mismatch Report For Week 9: Puka Nacua to the Moon

Tipp Major shares fantasy matchups to target or avoid based on DvP, including Puka Nacua vs. the Commanders.

Of all the blowouts this week, NONE spoke louder than the mollywhooping the Bears handed the Seahawks on Monday night!

We were expecting a potential NFC Championship preview. Instead? MISMATCH!

Now sitting at 4-4, the defending world champions have some serious soul-searching to do. And it starts with running the damn football!

But that's a conversation for another day.

What we witnessed Monday night should remind fantasy managers of something important. Just because a matchup looks good on paper doesn't mean it's going to deliver!

And fantasy managers? We've all been there. You spend the entire week drooling over a matchup, only to watch your supposed smash play deliver more disappointment than gas station sushi!

For now, we're talking about—you guessed it—some player matchups worth paying attention to in Week 9.

Let's find out who's eating and who's leaving the table HUNGRY!

Week 9 Fantasy Football DvP Matchups To Target

WR Puka Nacua vs Washington Commanders

Puka Nacua isn't just on a tear. He's reminding fantasy managers why he's one of the most dominant offensive weapons in football!

You'd have to go all the way back to Week 6 of LAST season to find a game where Puka scored fewer than ten fantasy points.

And he's back to his old tricks, averaging a ridiculous 12.3 targets per game!

His WORST performance this season? Five catches for 74 yards and 12.4 fantasy points.

That's his FLOOR? Some fantasy managers would throw a parade for that kind of production!

Now comes a Commanders defense that will have its hands full with Puka's physicality. He's already piled up 317 yards after the catch, turning short gains into somebody else's tackling problem.

Washington better bring its tackling shoes! Puka easily finishes as a TOP-THREE fantasy WR in Week 9!

RB Chase Brown vs Atlanta Falcons

Chase Brown has disappointed fantasy managers this season, but let's not get GREEDY!

He's averaging 13.27 fantasy points per game as the RB19. Sure, you drafted him expecting 15-plus points a week, but let's not act like he's been completely useless.

And a second-half bounce-back? I can see it!

Cincinnati's offense is HUMMING! Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are both top-ten fantasy WRs, forcing defenses to respect the passing game.

That should open more opportunities for Brown, particularly near the goal line.

He's logged 16 red-zone touches, but there's room for more!

Now, if we could just get Samaje Perine to MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!

To be fair, Perine hasn't been a complete roadblock. But getting THREE red-zone opportunities to Brown's ZERO in Week 8? That's worth monitoring!

The good news? Brown still averages a healthy 71.4% snap share.

And here come the Falcons! Atlanta allows the THIRD-MOST PPR points to running backs, including 5.4 receptions per game and three receiving touchdowns on the season.

I'm calling for a high-end RB1 finish from Brown this week!

Avoid This Week 9 Fantasy Football DvP Matchup

TE Dalton Kincaid vs. Minnesota Vikings

We've spent enough time talking about how INEPT the Vikings' offense has been. But that defense? It's time to give this version of the Purple People Eaters some LOVE!

And you know who hasn't been eating? Opposing tight ends! Minnesota has surrendered ZERO touchdowns to the position this season. NOT ONE!

And the yardage? Forget about it! Just 39 receiving yards per game allowed to tight ends, the FOURTH-FEWEST in the NFL.

Opposing tight ends are leaving Minnesota STARVING!

And Dalton Kincaid? He's next in line!

Sure, he's coming off a strong performance, but this Vikings defense isn't handing out fantasy points like Halloween candy!

I'm looking elsewhere this week.

Kincaid is a complete FADE for me, and I'm projecting no better than a low-end TE2 finish on Monday night.

The Purple People Eaters are keeping the kitchen CLOSED!
