Matthew Berry highlights the 10 facts you NEED to know before Week 6 of the fantasy football season kicks off.
We are almost through the first three weeks of “Pregame with Matthew Berry” on Roku and The Roku Channel from noon ET to 2 pm. It repeats from 3 pm to 5 pm ET and then again from 8- 10 pm ET. If you go to Roku or the Roku Channel app on your Non-Roku TV or on a tablet/phone, just search for it in the Sports Zone.
And if you have neither a Roku TV nor a Roku Channel app, you can also check it out on www.therokuchannel.roku.com. Go to Browse, then Sports, then scroll to Top Sports on The Roku Channel … It’s just been a couple of weeks, but it’s been fun. I promise to make you a smarter fantasy player/sports fan and a much dumber person. It’s 100% free to watch. And, of course, many, many clips of the show are available on my YouTube channel.
I also highly, and I mean highly, recommend joining the Fantasy Football Happy Hour Discord where an amazing group of folks talks fantasy football all day, asking and answering questions along with commenting on my show. It’s a welcoming, smart, and hilarious group, and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy them. I also spend a decent amount of time in the Discord, so it’s definitely the easiest way to get a hold of me if you’re so inclined to do so.
Also, a reminder that every Sunday morning I do Fantasy Football Happy Hour: Last Call at Noon ET with Alex Cupps on my YouTube channel ... come and get your questions answered.

10 Facts You Need to Know Before Week 6
- Among QBs with at least 75 dropbacks this season, Jayden Daniels has the highest scramble rate.
- He leads the NFL with 201 yards on scrambles.
- 50% of his fantasy points this season have come as a runner.
- Not a stat, but the point is, despite mediocre passing numbers and boneheaded time management decisions, Daniels remains an elite fantasy option.
- Through 5 weeks, the Bills rank 31st in pass defense.
- They’ve allowed the 4th-most passing touchdowns.
- In fact, four of the five QBs to face Buffalo thus far have thrown for at least 269 yards.
- In Week 6, the Bills face the Raiders in a game with an over/under of 53.5 points.
- You could do much worse than Kirk Cousins as a streaming option this week.
- Bhayshul Tuten has seen his snap rate increase every single week so far this season.
- Tuten has seen his Utilization Score increase every single week so far this season.
- His two highest target shares have both come in the past 2 games.
- In Week 5, his 77 Utilization Score ranked 11th at the position.
- On Tuesday, the Patriots announced that TreVeyon Henderson will miss multiple weeks with a high ankle sprain.
- In Week 1, when Henderson was inactive, Rhamondre Stevenson played 85% of the snaps.
- And he saw 23 touches.
- Since the start of 2024, in games where he sees more than 15 touches, Stevenson is averaging 16.3 PPG.
- Giddy up.
- After David Montgomery left the game last week, Woody Marks played 98% of the snaps.
- He handled every single RB touch for the Texans.
- So far this season, Woody Marks has been better than Montgomery in almost every rushing metric.
- While I don’t love the matchup this week with the Jaguars, Marks is still a low-end RB2 for as long as Montgomery is out.
- Over the past 2 weeks, Kimani Vidal leads the Chargers backfield with a 39% snap rate.
- Keaton Mitchell is at 36%.
- Omarion Hampton is at 32%.
- During this stretch, Hampton is averaging 13 touches per game, Mitchell 12 touches, and Vidal 8 touches.
- Not a stat, just an observation. All 3 Charger running backs need to be rostered, but none of them should be started right now.
- In Week 5, Germie Bernard ran 94% of the routes.
- He saw a team-high 30% target share.
- His Utilization Score of 82 ranked 13th at the position.
- With Michael Pittman and Roman Wilson both out for multiple weeks, Bernard immediately becomes a viable flex option.
- In Week 5, Mike Evans saw a season-high 36% target share.
- When Deebo Samuel was OFF the field, Evans was targeted on over 45% of his routes.
- Samuel is now going to miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury.
- The WR depth chart behind him consists of Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing, and Jordan Watkins.
- Jaylen Waddle has 204 receiving yards this season.
- 138 of those yards (67%) came in Week 2.
- In the other 4 games, Waddle is averaging 16.5 yards and has surpassed 20 yards only once.
- Ooofa.
- I wonder if Sean Payton’s wife is as upset as I am after drafting Waddle this season …
- In his first game back last week, Dallas Goedert led the Eagles with a 24% target share.
- He did so while running only 67% of the routes.
- In both of his completed games this season. Dallas Goedert has now seen at least a 22% target share.
- In Week 6, he gets a favorable matchup against a Panthers team that ranks bottom 10 in fantasy points allowed to TEs so far this season.
