Pivotal Week 4 Moves To Make In Fantasy Football
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Fire TV.
There is an overwhelming amount of useful fantasy analysis and tools at FantasyLife.com.
After ingesting it all, here are five moves I would make …
🤑 Buy Low: Chase Brown
Brown is a classic buy-low. As Adam Pfeifer notes here, the usage is great—78% of Cincy’s rush attempts, 71% snap share and 95% of two-minute drill snaps. The rub? He has only two goal-to-go carries … because the Bengals keep scoring from more than 15 yards out.
Now Brown gets a matchup as a home favorite (-2.5) in the highest-total game of the week (50.5). Giddyup.
💸 Sell High: Rashee Rice
If you can get a high-end WR2 or WR1 in return (maybe Drake London?), it’s worth shopping around Rashee Rice. His role is different this year with the offense flowing through Kenneth Walker, and he’s at a 0.37 PPR points-per-route value, which is below his 0.43 baseline from 2025.
Zain lays out the full case in this piece, which I recommend reading for both WR buy and sell ideas.
👬 A QB/WR To Stack: Daniel Jones + Josh Downs
With three weeks of action in the books, our DvP (defense vs. position) tool is starting to become valuable again.
One matchup that caught my eye? The Colts getting the Commanders, who give up the single biggest fantasy boost (+8.6) to opposing QBs. For DFS purposes, I like the idea of stacking him up with Josh Downs, who Dwain says is “due for a blowup game” thanks to his growing role.
🌊 A Defense To Stream: the Bucs
The Bucs might be a middle-of-the-road defense, but Jonathan Fuller loves this spot for them at home vs. a Packers offense that is incapable of running the ball. Better yet, Jordan Love has been sacked 8 times through three games, and Green Bay's offensive line ranks dead last in pass-block win rate.
🤯 A Surprise Drop: Brian Thomas Jr.
We are entering the part of the season where it’s time to let go of some of the busts. That’s where we are at with BTJ—who played just 37% of the snaps in Week 3 and rotated with rookie WR Josh Cameron.
I’m sure BTJ will have a relevant game or two over the course of the season, but good luck predicting that. He’s a roster clogger who you should churn for a better option like … gulp … Kalif Raymond.

Watch Your Fantasy Team In Action On Fire TV
On football Sundays, isn’t it best when you can watch your fantasy players live? Josh Allen throwing and galloping his way to multiple TDs. Ja’Marr Chase taking the top off the defense on a long bomb. Jahmyr Gibbs blazing past defenders as if they’re standing still. Even better, how about watching without endless scrolling to get to the correct apps? If so, you need Fire TV.
It organizes all your live games from your favorite teams in one place across apps, right on the home screen. No more searching.
Find where the game’s playing and easily subscribe to that streaming service (as needed)—all from one tab on your home screen.

👀 Ollie Gordon stands out in the Week 4 projections … but in a good or bad way?
😬 Panic time for this QB? Oh boy.
🎯 DvP says to target this WR. It’s a Giant advantage.
🔮 Time to trust Marcus Mariota? Be bold.
🤢 Oh, how they mighty have fallen. What would Marvin Harrison Jr. fetch in a trade?
👀 If you avoided the Seahawks losing last week in survivor, Minnesota could give the Dolphins a viking funeral.
🚑️ Jalen McMillan is headed to IR. The QB situation is dire, but I’d still add Ted Hurst.
😎 After his breakout game, is Kenyon Sadiq more than Kyle Pitts 2.0?
🤔 Could we see a changing of the guard in Houston at RB? I’m still skeptical.
💪 Don’t be afraid to flex a TE. Here’s why.
😡 Ugh, brutal runout for Jayden Reed. Get ready to learn Skyy Moore (derogatory).

Week 4 Starts and Sits From Dwain McFarland
START: Bryce Young | QB | Panthers
Some say that I am slow to adapt my rankings. I would say that it depends. But I am definitely slow to move players that have a long track record of not producing in fantasy.
But after three massive passing-yardage outings, plus an amazing Week 4 matchup against Detroit, I am moving Bryce Young up.
Young leads the NFL with 313 passing yards per game (YPG) and is tied for fourth in passing TDs per game at 2.33. Brad Idzik has taken over playcalling duties from Dave Canales, and the team has morphed into a pass-first offense. Carolina ranks second in Dropback Rate Over Expected (DBOE) at 10%.
The Lions have sanctioned the fourth-largest fantasy boost to opposing QBs at +3.6 in 2026.
Looking purely at their passing boost, the Lions rank as the third-best matchup (+4.0). They have allowed 326 YPG, with a 50.7 YPG passing boost. Detroit has been torched for three TDs per game—a 1.1 boost. Geno Smith threw for 321 yards and 3 TDs in Week 3 on the Lions.
The Panthers have a solid team total of 23.2 in Freedman's NFL Game Model. My gut says that might be too low in a potential shootout.

Freedman’s Fades Week 4: Maye Day! Maye Day!
Are you ready? It’s “Wet Blanket” time. Matthew Freedman has released the players he’s fading for Week 4 …
- QB Fades: Going 4-for-4 on fading this QB?
- RB Fades: Tough matchup over the pond.
- WR Fades: Less target competition, still not looking great for Deebo.
- TE Fades: Great start for this TE, but matchup is so tough.
And ICYMI, here are Freedman’s Favorites:

Stock Up for Cam Skattebo
Is it time to flip out over Cam Skattebo and move him up the rankings? What to do about the injured backfields? Is Chase Brown a buy low? And what to do about Bhayshul Tuten? Dwain joins Kendall and Pete to talk players whose stock is rising and more. Subscribe to the Fantasy Life Show and catch every episode during the season.
