Stefon Diggs to the Chiefs? Plenty To Like For Fantasy Football

It’s kind of startling how many dominoes still have to fall with the free agent WRs.

Will Brandon Aiyuk remain a hostage forever? Can Tyreek Hill pull a Lazarus? Does Deebo Samuel have a swan song in him? Hell, even Keenan Allen is lurking.

But if there’s one top prize among these veteran free agents, it has to be Stefon Diggs.

When I recently reviewed all of these guys, I realized I was undervaluing his 2025 season—he averaged 11.5 PPR/game, cleared over 1k yards and notched 10.13 yards per target (10th in the league).

A few weeks ago, Joe identified a few possible landing spots for him, but I think a new, clear frontrunner has emerged …

The Kansas City Chiefs.

Think about it. There is speculation that Rashee Rice’s probation violation could result in another suspension, and that’s before we even mention his recent knee surgery. Travis Kelce is 36 years old. And Xavier Worthy played all of last season hurt with a shoulder injury that required offseason surgery.

Do we really think KC can stomach another wasted year in Patrick Mahomes’ prime (all indications are that he’s healthy, btw) with a subpar supporting cast?

The Chiefs and Diggs simply make too much sense not to happen. He might not be as good as Rice at this point in his career, but he can step in and succeed in that slot role for them.

This isn’t quite an “AJB to New England” level lock, but I’m banking on it.

Besides, why else would Diggs be liking Mahomes’ Instagram posts??

Ian’s Latest Rankings: Javonte Williams Rising

Looking under the hood at Ian Hartitz’s latest rankings is necessary, because at first glance his moving Javonte Williams up the ladder may raise an eyebrow thinking it’s a case of Cowboys bias. While Ian may be a fan of that team with the stars on the helmet, there’s a reason he’s been moved past a running back (Omarion Hampton) on a team that is getting a lot of hype this offseason. On the one hand, Williams is fresh off a big season—1,338 scrimmage yards and 13 TDs—while Hampton has yet to play a full healthy season. See for yourself if this rankings move make sense.

IDP Strategy: Go For The Green Dot

If you’re new to IDP, there are some principles to know well before you get in the draft room. However, that’s just the beginning, as there are some data points that help you almost predict who are going to be the big producers on a given defense on a weekly basis. Mike Woellert is back with his feature focusing on IDP strategy where you’ll learn terms like expected sacks, tackles vs. expected and more. You can even find big producers in IDP based on who wears the green dot on defense. And finding them on ambiguous defenses could help you win your league:

Heading into 2026, there will be a few situations to monitor: Dallas, Carolina, New York (Jets), Indianapolis and Washington. Sonny Styles has been seen with the dot in Washington’s OTAs, and there’s an assumption that CJ Allen will wear it. These are two rookies with the potential for a three-down role as a rookie. ⤵️
