Most-Chopped Players For Week 7 In Guillotine Leagues™️: Bid Up On Derrick Henry, Jahmyr Gibbs & More
Jorge Martin surveys the 10 players who were the most chopped in Guillotine Leagues™️ heading into Week 7 of the fantasy football season.
Welcome to Week 7, when rosters start to look more familiar. And when you start to look at your Guillotine LeaguesTM roster and it starts to look like your other 12-team fantasy leagues.
There’s no more having to start marginal players like Ryan Flournoy in the flex and hope he does enough to help you survive. The waiver wires are getting more robust, with names easily recognizable. And with those “endgame” players we talked about recently. Those are the players you put on your roster and know you could be starting them if you hit a title shot in Week 17. You’ll see plenty of those names below, and you can be more aggressive with them. You never know if this might be your only shot to acquire them.
If you’ve been saving your FAAB, this is when it’s time to have some fun. Especially when you look around at your leaguemates and see that you have more money than most of them. If those studs are out there, make sure you’re being aggressive, but don’t go beyond where you have to. You never know, you might need a few dollars down the road.
Enjoy that you’ve avoided the Guillotine blade so far. Not an easy task, especially with injuries being such a factor already. Now let’s get into those players who got chopped the most in Guillotine Leagues. As always, make sure to check out the fantasy football rankings and fantasy football projections to make as informed of FAAB bidding decisions as possible.
Week 7 Most-Chopped Players for Guillotine Leagues
Derrick Henry | RB | Ravens
This was a tough hit for fantasy managers, as it was the first time this season when Henry was both held out of the end zone and under 100 rushing yards in a game. But nothing is showing that the King is falling off his throne. He’s averaging a fantastic 81% of the rush attempts for a Ravens offense that could see Lamar Jackson return as soon as this week. What also makes him attractive is a Week 13 bye, which gives plenty of time to build a stronger roster by then. The Bengals come to Baltimore this week, and their run defense is middling.
Cam Skattebo | RB | Giants
Oof. Getting ZERO touches during a soft benching is not a good look, especially in a major media market like NY. It just “feels” like a bigger deal. This backfield sure could become a committee of at least three backs, which you might want to avoid. Hard to picture more than a nominal bid for him to be a bench player who possibly gets cut later in the season.
Rhamondre Stevenson | RB | Patriots
With 14 carries for 36 yards, it didn’t look like the takeover that many were expecting for Stevenson. Especially with Corey Kiner and TreVeyon Henderson totaling 18 carries for 88 yards between them. This is another timeshare where Stevenson got 44% of the rushing attempts last week. The Bears are allowing a stingy 78.5 rushing yards to RBs, so maybe do your shopping elsewhere.
Tyler Warren | TE | Colts
This is a tricky one, because the talent says top-5 TE. The offense with Daniel Jones playing below his 2025 level has been subpar, and Warren was just inactive with a groin injury. A healthy Warren is a player you want on your roster. But when will he be healthy? Be wary of big bids until you know his health status.
Juwan Johnson | TE | Saints
Johnson drawing a blank slate on receptions and just 2 targets is an aberration, as he’s seen at least 4 targets in every other game and 53 yards in 4 games. This is still a top-10 TE heading into a matchup with the Steelers, who have allowed more than 40 receiving yards to one TE—Warren went for 7-83-0. Johnson is very much still worth rostering.
Jahmyr Gibbs | RB | Lions
All we can do is raise a cold Mike’s Harder to the fantasy manager who got chopped while watching Gibbs sit on their bench. And for your next trick, see how much FAAB you can drop on the player who is still the RB1 even playing one fewer game than most others at the position. He’s averaging 28 fantasy points/game. Be as aggressive as you can if he’s available.
Davante Adams | WR | Rams
Watching Adams limp off the field holding the back of his leg right above the knee … that was nightmare fuel for so many fantasy managers after he posted 3-39-0. His 6-to-10-week timeline for recovery could be the rest of the season. Hard to bid more than the minimum, and be ready to drop him if you’re still alive and can get an active impact player.
Amon-Ra St. Brown | WR | Lions
Like with Gibbs, the Sun God is a player you want on your roster when you’re going for everything. He has 10+ targets in 4 of 5 games, and has already scored 5 TDs. The bye is past him. Get ready to spend up.
Terry McLaurin | WR | Commanders
Seeing McLaurin put in a brace and carted off the field after grabbing onto his knee in a fall to the ground on MNF is sad for one of the underrated great players of the past handful of seasons. His season is likely over.
Ja'Marr Chase | WR | Bengals
Like with Gibbs and St. Brown, Chase is one of the top players at his position, is tied to an elite QB and his bye is behind him. Every checkmark is checked for an aggressive bid. Hopefully you have plenty of FAAB dollars available to bid on him.
