NEW YORK – July 7, 2026 – Fantasy Life, the award-winning fantasy sports and gaming company founded by legendary fantasy football analyst Matthew Berry, today announced the appointment of RotoWire co-founder Peter Schoenke as Chief Executive Officer. 

In his new role, Schoenke will lead Fantasy Life through its next chapter of growth as the company continues expanding its media, technology and gaming experiences. He joins the company following a funding round led by LRMR Ventures and SC Holdings, helping accelerate Fantasy Life's vision of becoming the premier destination for fantasy sports.

Schoenke co-founded and served as President of RotoWire from 1997 to 2026, helping build one of the fantasy sports industry's most respected brands. Under his leadership, RotoWire pioneered innovations including player notes, free commissioner services, custom cheat sheets, and one of the first daily fantasy sports optimizer tools, culminating in its $27.5 million acquisition by Gambling.com Group in 2022. 

Beyond RotoWire, Schoenke has played a leading role in shaping the fantasy sports industry as a longtime board member, former chairman, and current head of the government affairs committee for the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association. He helped lead the industry's successful effort to affirm the legality of fantasy sports while advancing consumer protections during a pivotal period of growth. Schoenke has been inducted into both the Fantasy Sports & Gaming Association Hall of Fame and the Fantasy Sports Writers Association Hall of Fame for his contributions to the industry.
