After handing the reins to Thomas Castellanos, Texas Tech’s offense looked more efficient, giving the Red Raiders the production they need to be a well-rounded unit. With West Virginia on deck, Castellanos will be able to build on this momentum, putting the Red Raiders one step closer to making the Big 12 championship.

Texas Tech -16.5/Minnesota Team Total u18.5 (+220, theScore Bet)

Heading into the year, Texas Tech was expected to be in a tier of its own in the Big 12, listed as the heavy betting favorite to win the conference title. Even though the Red Raiders are 7-1, they have been flirting with danger while the offense has struggled to get into a groove, fielding a group that ranks 131st in explosiveness and 132nd in havoc allowed.

Even though Thomas Castellanos struggled to connect with his pass catchers while shaking off the rust in his first true start, he was able to keep a clean sheet. Fortunately for Castellanos, he will have a great opportunity to air it out by picking apart a West Virginia secondary that struggles in coverage, per near-dead-last marks in success rate and PPA.

While the Red Raiders are potentially figuring things out on offense, Minnesota is still searching for answers, ranking outside the top 90 in EPA per play, explosiveness, and finishing drives. With UCLA’s defense averaging a 32.3% success rate, the Golden Gophers' lack of versatility will make it difficult to get into scoring position, keeping them under the team total.

Duke Alt -2.5/Arizona State Alt -2.5 (+171, DraftKings)

Since the start of the regular season, NC State has been abysmal on defense, limping into Week 10 ranked well below league average in EPA allowed per play and in finishing drives. When opposing offenses get into scoring position, the Wolfpack have given up points at a high rate, allowing 4.02 points per opportunity.

In a conference matchup against Duke, NC State’s defense will continue to find themselves backed up inside the red zone while trying to bottle up an offense that ranks near the top of the board in explosiveness and havoc. With the Wolfpack lacking the big-play ability that is needed to keep pace with the Blue Devils, expect Saturday’s ACC tilt to turn into a lopsided affair.

Speaking of big-play ability, Colorado will continue to struggle to create explosive plays while matched up against an Arizona State secondary that ranks 22nd in pass play explosiveness. When held comfortably behind the line to gain, the Buffs will struggle to chip away at the distance, leaving the offense vulnerable to stalling out at a high rate.

UConn ML/Oklahoma ML (+860, Caesars)

After a hot start to the year, North Carolina’s production on defense has fallen off a cliff, plummeting to 96th in success rate and 123rd in havoc. With the Tar Heels struggling to create disruptions in the backfield, Kalieb Osborne will be able to operate in a clean pocket, improving the quality of his throws to help keep UConn ahead of the sticks.

Like Osborne, John Mateer is also in a favorable position to thrive while battling it out against a Florida defense that resides in the bottom thirty in finishing drives and in pass success rate. With Mateer being able to methodically move the ball down the field, the Sooners will be able to chip away at the Gators' total number of possessions on offense, swinging variance their way to help secure the win.
