I understand that some of you want tame little parlays to fill the void. You want to peacefully watch Thursday Night Football with the sound of whistles and pads clashing in the background, blissfully waiting for a +110 to cash.

What if this week's matchup is exactly like your collegiate experience: Hearing everyone score all night long while you sit alone on the couch.

Here are my arguments for an extremely high-scoring game and my stupidly fun +2200 bet. I have five:

In Week 1:

  • The Bills put up 36 points against the alleged "elite" Texans defense.
  • The Bills allowed 31 points against them.
  • The Lions put up 31 points against NO.
  • The Lions allowed 30 points against them.

Annnnd the fifth reason:

  • The last time the Lions and Bills faced each other, the matchup ended with a sexy 48-42 on the scoreboard.

In other words, these teams scored a total of 90 points. 

TWELVE total touchdowns. 

So, live a little! I'm all in on another sloppy TD-fest.
