After losing to Cincinnati, Texas Tech is now in a vulnerable spot with Arizona on deck, potentially keeping the Red Raiders out of contention for the Big 12 title if they lose for the second week in a row. Later in the night, we turn our attention toward South Carolina and Purdue with both trendy underdogs in a favorable position to win while battling it out against a pair of underwhelming offenses.

College Football Parlays for Week 9

Wisconsin vs. Iowa u37 / Arizona vs. Texas Tech u55 (+254, BetRivers)

Just when it looked like Iowa was starting to get into a groove, the Hawkeyes fell hard back down to reality, mustering just 288 yards in a 13-10 loss to Minnesota. Iowa’s regression on offense has been a thorn in the Hawkeyes' side in the past few weeks of play, slipping down to 80th in explosiveness and 77th in finishing drives.

Like Iowa, Wisconsin has also harshly regressed on offense, limping into Saturday ranked outside the top 90 in success rate and points per opportunity. With both offenses struggling to stay ahead of the sticks, points will come at a premium while the Hawkeyes and Badgers trade punts, keeping the score under the full game total.

At the same time as the Wisconsin and Iowa kickoff, Arizona and Texas Tech will be locked into a defensive slugfest with both defenses ranking in the top 30 in finishing drives. On the off chance the Wildcats or Red Raiders are able to get into scoring position, expect trips inside the 20 to result in field goals with both units also averaging less than three points per opportunity.

Ole Miss Alt -9.5 / Notre Dame Alt -27.5 (+164, DraftKings)

Fresh off a loss to Texas, Ole Miss must win out if the Rebels want to keep their hopes of making the playoffs alive. While the offense has been efficient, the defense has failed to give Ole Miss the production the Rebels need to limit the amount of variance in the contest, ranking below league average in EPA allowed per play and havoc.

In a favorable matchup against Auburn, Trinidad Chambliss will be able to mask the defense by setting a scoring pace too fast for the Tigers to keep up with, torching a secondary that ranks 95th in pass play success rate. At -12.5, bet the Rebels down to the key number of -9.5, eliminating the possibility of getting hooked by a dead number.

With Notre Dame in a look-ahead spot against Miami, the Fighting Irish's motivation will be in question against Navy, potentially leading to a sloppy performance. Fortunately for Notre Dame, CJ Carr will be able to get out to a quick lead by taking advantage of a defense that resides near the bottom of the board in explosiveness, finishing drives, and havoc, increasing the Fighting Irish's chances of covering the lofty spread.

South Carolina ML/Purdue ML (+920, BetRivers)

Since the start of the regular season, Oklahoma has severely underwhelmed on offense, ranking outside the top 100 in EPA per play and in points per opportunity. With the Sooners incapable of pulling away on the scoreboard, South Carolina will be able to keep it uncomfortably close, improving the Gamecocks' probability of winning outright.

To round out the underdog parlay, we fade Penn State with the Nittany Lions steadily regressing while dealing with injuries, entering Week 9 ranked 86th in success rate and 90th in explosiveness. With positive regression looming large over Purdue’s defense, the Boilermakers will be able to avoid playing in a highly volatile contest, shading value toward the underdog.
