Jason Cohen runs through his top five NFL DFS value picks for the Week 5 Sunday slate.
Week 5 of the NFL season is here. We get 11 games to break down Sunday for the DFS main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel. I'm going to be breaking down the top NFL DFS value picks on the slates. These are players that are not only in great spots, but will allow you to build out the rest of your lineup with spend-ups.
Almost every week, with injuries or some mispricing, there are cheap value plays that project very well and are even cash game staples for that week. We’ve got some very enticing value pieces for us this week; let's get into it!

DraftKings and FanDuel NFL DFS Week 5 Value Picks
Tyson Bagent - CHI QB ($4,700 DraftKings, $6,700 FanDuel)
Simply priced too cheaply coming back as the Bears' starting QB, Tyson Bagent looks like a great value play. He has a great stack option with Luther Burden, and Rome Odunze/Colston Loveland are also viable. Bagent is coming off of a good passing performance last week, in a game that the Bears ended up ahead in and relied on the rushing game in the 4th quarter. Bagent also wasn't able to convert a TD, so his fantasy score stayed quite low. Watching the game, however, it was clear that Bagent belongs, and I like him here in a matchup vs. the Packers.
Malik Washington - MIA WR ($4,600 DraftKings, $5,700 FanDuel)
Malik Washington has been too cheap all season and is in a very secure role. Washington is the far and away number one option for this struggling Dolphins team, and they get a more favorable-than-not matchup vs. the Bengals. The team has consistently praised him for what he's been doing out on the field, and they want to have a ton of designed plays for him. He is a great filler piece for cash or GPP lineups, someone that you don't need to stack with a QB. He has a high ceiling and will have many opportunities to make big plays.
Braelon Allen - NYJ RB ($5,400 DraftKings, $5,900 FanDuel)
With Breece Hall going down, we saw Braelon Allen fully take over the RB1 duties for the Jets. It was stated that Isaiah Davis would be involved, and we didn't know how much. Davis had just 2 total snaps, and not a single rush attempt. We can confidently come into Week 5 assuming Allen will be a bellcow back for the Jets. He is also usually pretty involved in the passing game, which is a nice boost to his floor. He projects right up there with Henderson as the slate's best point-per-dollar running back play.
We get a stacked selection of value plays to utilize in Week 5. Optimal lineups are super chalky right now, getting to 2-3 of these values and then spending up all around it. We're going to have to make choices on who to play and fade in GPPs, but it's overall a very enticing slate with this value. Good luck and let's cash some contests!
