Jaxon Smith-Njigba More Than 90.5 Receiving Yards

Last week, Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s receiving-yard projection was set at 80.5. He beat that in one play, 2:35 into the game.

The reigning Offensive Player of the Year could do it again, as he’s off to an excellent start. He’s coming into Week 2 leading the league with 277 receiving yards and a +25.7 EPA per reception.

He’s the go-to guy in this offense; his 45.2% target share leads the league, and his 58.8% first-read target share ranks second. It’s rare when a wide receiver is quarterback-proof, but even with backup quarterback Drew Lock, he's the top receiver in the league.

JSN gets another favorable matchup against a Commanders defense that has struggled in its first two games. Washington has been torched through the air; its 7.3 passing yards per play allowed ranks 25th, and its 52.1% dropback success rate allowed ranks 26th. The Commanders just allowed CeeDee Lamb to go for 153 receiving yards.

Kenneth Walker More Than 85.5 Rushing Yards

Remember when the Seahawks did not trust Walker to be a workhorse running back? That organization has not made many mistakes, but failing to unleash Walker might have been one of them. He had 23 carries in Week 1 and 24 more in Week 2, and with them being 2-0, expect the Chiefs to give him the same volume.

In his first season with the Chiefs, he is the league's best running back, leading with 290 rushing yards and a 5.2 yards-after-contact average. Credit should also go to Kansas City’s offensive line, which is giving Walker gaps to run through, and he’s sixth in the NFL with 91 yards before contact.

Walker and the Chiefs go to South Beach and face the Dolphins, who look like the league’s worst team.

Defensively, Miami is struggling, allowing 31.0 points per game (29th) and 0.15 EPA per play (26th).

The run defense looks good on paper, ranking 18th by allowing 112.5 rushing yards per game, but that largely stems from the matchup against the 49ers, where San Francisco started some possessions with great field position. The 49ers also didn’t play their starters in the fourth quarter.

Go back to Week 1, when Ashton Jeanty delivered an excellent performance, rushing for 102 yards.

As long as the Chiefs continue to lean on Walker, he should get enough carries to deliver another stellar performance.

Josh Allen More Than 278.5 Passing+Rushing Yards

Josh Allen has been doing his typical Josh Allen things: thriving as a passer and a rusher. He’s second in passing yards (582) and yards per attempt (9.7), and third in average depth of target (10.5). As a runner, he’s leading all quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns (4) and is second in rushing yards (92).

This passing+rushing projection has not been a problem for Allen, as he has cleared more than 310 passing+rushing yards in both games this season. He did it against the Texans, who were last year’s top defense, but have struggled this year. He then faced the Lions, who look like a bottom-tier defense.

This week, the Bills play the Chargers, who are performing well below expectations. A problem that could arise for the Chargers and benefit Allen is Los Angeles’ inability to get to the quarterback. The Chargers rank 27th in blitz rate (19.0%) and 12th in pressure rate (23.6%).

Allen has been picking apart defenses that don’t blitz, ranking third in the league with 415 passing yards and second with 10.4 yards per attempt.
