Buy, Sell, Hold for Fantasy Football Week 3: Is Denzel Boston Legit?

Davante Adams is a prime example of why we DO NOT OVERREACT in Week 1.

Week 1: 3-26-0
Week 2: 8-195-2

But there might be a few players who are starting to worry me… Let’s move into Buy, Sell, Hold for Week 3.

But first:

Here are some players to consider as Buys, Sells, and Holds moving into Week 3.

BUY: Usage Over Early-Season Production

Denzel Boston | WR | CLE

Do you remember when Denzel Boston was being touted as "Mike Evans 2.0" this summer?

Denzel Boston truthers do.

And despite the QB troubles in Cleveland this season, Boston has emerged from the ashes.

Week 1: 2-59-1 (WR24)
Week 2: 5-95-1 (WR12)

People might still be wary of the Browns offense (rightfully so), but despite the ups and downs that may come, Boston is emerging as their WR1. A few more games like these and you might get priced out.

George Pickens | WR | DAL

This Cowboys offense sure does love to sling the ball. The good news hidden inside the bad news is: George Pickens has averaged less than 8.0 FPPG, which actually makes him a "buy low" option after these first two weeks.

Look. We always knew CeeDee Lamb was the WR1 in town, but Pickens still thrived in his shadow last season. And I think he still will in 2026. Mainly because Dak Prescott is capable of 4,500 yards and 30+ TDs when he's playing a full 17 games. We just need a couple more points to swing Pickens' way. With Pickens' 23% target share on this high-scoring offense, I want a piece.

Drake London | WR | ATL

Through the first two weeks, the Falcons have had zero(0) snaps inside the 10-yard line. ZERO. For comparison, the Panthers have had 20.

But I digress.

Drake London doesn't need to be within the 10-yard line to thrive in fantasy, but it's important to recognize how absolutely non-productive the Falcons have been this season. And that non-production has trickled down to London.

Week 1: 2-29-0 (WR65)
Week 2: 4-51-0 (WR 43)

While some might be ready to sell at this point, I'm buying. Because with Michael Penix throwing the ball last year, London logged 91-1,286-9 through 14 games. So, there is light at the end of the very dim tunnel. We just need this QB drought to right itself in Atlanta first.

And guess who was just named the starting QB for Thursday Night Football?

D’Andre Swift | RB | CHI

The Bears following up their 59-point debut with a no-score loss at home in Week 2 is the perfect bubble-poppin ' buy-low situation for D'Andre Swift.

Maybe your leaguemate is skeptical of Ben Johnson. Maybe they think the Week 1 Bears were a psyop. Maybe they're too caught up watching Caleb Williams memes to be fully locked in.

Either way, in a terrible, no-good, very bad game, we saw Swift's floor hold steady. And I like it.

SELL: An Awful Situation in L.A.

Okay, I'm ready to overreact a little… and sell.

Justin Herbert | QB | LAC

I'm trying not to panic, but Herbert can't seem to get his footing. To be clear: It’s not him. It’s quite literally everyone else.

His o-line is in shambles, forcing him to scramble like a madman. And if you watch highlights (lowlights?) from Week 2, you'll see his pass-catchers dropping passes like the ball is made of lead.

Is this an overreaction? Yeah. He's not a bad QB. But his situation is bad enough that I don't want to keep losing my matchups due to his single-digit fantasy production.

HOLD: The Most Disappointing TE in Fantasy

We're holding, because… we basically have to.

Colston Loveland | TE | CHI

To quote Dwain McFarland: "What in the absolute f@#% is happening here?"

Despite Colston Loveland's goose egg in Week 1, his decreased route participation (down to 69% in Week 2) and his extreme disappearance of fantasy points in 2026… I still cannot bring myself to sell.

He's still an elite talent at the TE position, planted firmly within an offense that intends to score often (Week 2 be damned). And more importantly: You drafted him way too high to just toss him aside.

It hurts. It's confusing. But the holding persists.
