We are almost through the first month of “Pregame with Matthew Berry” on Roku and The Roku Channel from noon ET to 2 PM. It repeats from 3 PM to 5 PM ET and then again from 8- 10 PM ET. If you go to Roku or the Roku Channel app on your Non-Roku TV or on a tablet/phone, just search for it in the Sports Zone. And if you have neither a Roku TV nor a Roku Channel app, you can also check it out on www.therokuchannel.roku.com. Go to Browse, then Sports, then scroll to Top Sports on The Roku Channel … It’s just been a few weeks, but it’s been fun. I promise to make you a smarter fantasy player/sports fan and a much dumber person. It’s 100% free to watch. And, of course, many, many clips of the show are available on my YouTube channel.

I also highly, and I mean highly, recommend joining the Fantasy Football Happy Hour Discord where an amazing group of folks talks fantasy football all day, asking and answering questions along with commenting on my show. It’s a welcoming, smart, and hilarious group, and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy them. I also spend a decent amount of time in the Discord, so it’s definitely the easiest way to get a hold of me if you’re so inclined to do so.

You can get access to everything we have to offer at Fantasy Life with a FantasyLife+ subscription (Code BERRY for 10% off). That means my rankings—completely customized to fit YOUR leagues—projections, league sync, our waiver wire tool, Dwain McFarland's world-renowned Utilization Report, our start/sit tool, and much, much more.

Final plug: A reminder that every Sunday morning I do Fantasy Football Happy Hour: Last Call at Noon ET with Alex Cupps on my YouTube channel … come and get your questions answered.

But before you do that, you need to read this. Because these are the ...

10 Facts You Need to Know Before Week 7

  1. Over the past 3 weeks, C.J. Stroud is the sixth-best QB in fantasy football.
    1. For the season, Stroud ranks 4th in passing yards per game.
    2. And he’s top 10 in pass attempts.
    3. The Texans rank 25th in rushing offense.
    4. With the Texans' defense also not being as dominant … Stroud should continue to have weekly QB1 upside in the right matchups.

  2. So far this season, Bo Nix has an average depth of target of 5.4 yards.
    1. That’s not a typo.
    2. In fact, over the past 2 games, Nix has completed only 4 passes that traveled at least 7 air yards.
    3. Not a fact, but there’s simply no way for Nix or any Broncos WR to be a viable fantasy option under this current offensive scheme.

  3. In Week 6, Mike Washington saw a season-high 33% snap rate.
    1. He had only one fewer rush attempt than Ashton Jeanty.
    2. Jeanty has now been held under 3 yards per carry in 4 of the past 5 games.
    3. His two lowest snap rates of the season have both come in the past 2 weeks.
    4. Maybe he’s not fully healthy, but if Jeanty remains this inefficient, don’t be surprised to see Washington take on a bigger role in this backfield.

  4. In the 3 full games Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan have played together this season, Coker has seen 4 more targets than McMillan.
    1. He’s scored 24 more fantasy points.
    2. In fact, going back to last season and including the playoffs, Coker has outscored McMillan in 7 of the past 9 games that they’ve played together.

  5. A.J. Brown had as many catches in Week 6 (3) as he did drops (3).
    1. He turned 10 targets into 27 yards.
    2. However, his 33% target share led the team.
    3. He ran 97% of the routes.
    4. I’m buying.

  6. In his first game back from IR, Omar Cooper saw a team-high 24% target share.
    1. He ran 85% of the routes.
    2. He had the 11th-highest utilization score among WRs in Week 6.
    3. He is still available in over 50% of leagues.

  7. In his Texans debut, Marvin Harrison Jr. played 11 offensive snaps.
    1. And he ran just 9 routes.
    2. He was, however, targeted on 44% of those routes.
    3. And his 12.5% target share was actually his highest in any game this season.
    4. I’m still not ready to put him back in fantasy lineups just yet, but at least it seems the Texans are more committed to using him than the Cardinals were.

  8. In Week 6, Brian Thomas had a 30% route rate.
    1. He played just 15 offensive snaps.
    2. Including 0 in the second half.
    3. Over his past 4 games, his target share is 6%.
    4. Dude. SIX PERCENT.
    5. If you haven’t already done so, you can go ahead and drop Brian Thomas.

  9. In 3 of the 4 games since Brock Bowers returned, Michael Mayer has seen a route rate above 70%.
    1. In those games, Mayer is averaging an 18% target share.
    2. And 15.0 PPG.
    3. The Raiders rank 32nd in WR target share this season.
    4. Mayer is a viable streaming option even when Bowers is active.

  10. In Weeks 2 and 3, when Puka Nacua was out, the Rams led the NFL with a 37% tight end target share.
    1. With Davante Adams expected to miss 6-10 weeks with a hamstring injury, look for the Rams to once again rely more heavily on their tight ends.
    2. I prefer Tyler Higbee to Colby Parkinson in the short term, but Terrance Ferguson has the most upside and is worth stashing until he returns from IR.

Here's your Xfinity X-Tra Fact for Week 7 of fantasy football

In Week 6, DeMario Douglas set season highs in target share (27%) and route rate (74%). He’s also now seen at least one end zone target in each of his past 4 games. With Romeo Doubs joining Mack Hollins on IR, Douglas is a legitimate flex option in Week 7 and should be added in leagues where he’s still available.
