New York Giants Backfield Got Muddy For Fantasy Football
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Mike's Harder.
What a wild day in fantasy land. Fresh off the Jordyn Tyson injury and the Keenan Allen signing, we had a flurry of news and injury updates on Tuesday.
Let’s get to it, quick-hitter style:
Najee Harris signs with the Giants. Can’t a guy blow a single blitz pickup without losing his job anymore?!
Fantasy spin: For real, though—Tyrone Tracy is virtually undraftable now. Dwain moved Cam Skattebo down a tick in the ranks (two spots). Before you ask … don’t bother with Harris.
Fantasy spin: We are still awaiting details, but it sounds like Biadasz could be done for the year. Similar to Laremy Tunsil and the Commanders, it’s a huge blow to the ceiling outcomes we have all been dreaming on for the Bolts offense.
Breece Hall will be out 2-3 weeks … due to a groin injury.
Fantasy spin: This isn’t great news, but I think it’s a spot to enjoy the forthcoming discount. I’d scoop him in the late third round.
Kyle Monangai is “week-to-week.” He’s dealing with a hyperextended knee.
Fantasy spin: This doesn’t sound too serious, so I’m inclined to buy the dip … that said, the D’Andre Swift thesis gets stronger and stronger by the day.
Josh Jacobs returned to practice. The groin must be feeling better.
Fantasy spin: I still love MarShawn Lloyd and the legal stuff still hangs in the balance, but this pours a little cold water on his “multiple outs” to hitting.
Parker Washington is day-to-day … with an undisclosed injury.
Fantasy spin: This sounds vaguely ominous, but literally nothing can stop the PWash hype train from my experience.
Tyquan Thornton has a strained hamstring.
Fantasy spin: Cyrus Allen continues to get more and more intriguing.
Brock Bowers spotted wearing tape and operating gingerly … on the same knee he suffered a PCL injury to last season.
Fantasy spin: Dwain flagged this one and dropped him one spot in his ranks (22 overall), citing Dalton Kincaid as a recent example of PCL injuries lingering.

Colts Projections: What About Downs & Warren?
Has Keenan Allen been the destroyer of breakout dreams the past couple seasons? First it was rookie Rome Odunze in 2024. Boy, were we hopeful for that. Then came Ladd McConkey last year? Oh, how we recall drafting Ladd in the second round a year ago. Those non-playoff teams were a lot of fun.
Now word is that Allen has inked a deal with the Colts, and that’s just sending shivers up the spines of so many fantasy football managers. What will happen to the next steps that Josh Downs and Tyler Warren looked so set to take? Dwain McFarland updated our fantasy football projections to see how the Colts’ pass catchers will shake out. ⤵️

Kendall’s 3 Must-Draft Players
Our fantasy analysts have been running through their must-draft players for the coming season, and today it’s Kendall Valenzuela’s turn. Now, we won’t give you the names of the players—read the article, it’s really good—but maybe a couple hints to see if you guess right:
- Never caught a pass from his new QB, but already one of the best WRs he’s thrown to
- Was the No. 1 QB from Week 12 on last year
- Pretty likely he could be No. 2 pass catcher for a possible top-10 QB
