Target Chris Godwin And 3 More Pass Catchers Going In Later Rounds Of Fantasy Football Drafts

In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Hims.

Fantasy Lifers, today I am here seeking your most undivided attention so that you can change your upcoming fantasy drafts for the better.  What if I told you there are four potential players who could alter the course of your drafts? And all four are going outside the top 100 picks, and ALL are projected for 100+ targets this season. I really hope you're catching onto the Shark Tank theme here. Just close your eyes and imagine a lifesized cutout of Matthew Berry and the Fantasy Life team standing on a very large rug trying to sell you a handful of players that, at current cost, you should consider drafting.

Alright, got the visual? Let's get started …

Michael Pittman Jr.—Projected for 121 targets

Underdog ADP: 99.4

Alright, alright I cheated here a little bit! But that's only because I wanted to still talk about Michael Pittman Jr. and the potential role he could have in this Steelers offense. What if Pittman becomes Aaron Rodgers' preferred underneath target? DK Metcalf will still be involved, but last season we saw six-year lows in receptions (3.9) and yards (56.7) per game from him. I've come around to drafting Pittman because not only does he look like a good fit for this team, but more importantly he can have a good rapport with Rodgers, who averaged a league-low 6.0 intended air yards per pass attempt in 2025.

Harold Fannin—Projected for 100 targets

Underdog ADP: 100.3

I feel like there's been too much of an overcorrection with Harold Fannin this summer. Last season when he was in a full-time role from Week 7 to Week 16 he averaged 12.8 points per game, operating as the TE6. There is increased target competition with the Browns drafting KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, and the quarterback play is less than ideal. But wasn't it less than ideal last season, too? The Browns offense averaged just 179 passing yards per game in 2025, but Fannin led the team in targets (27%). Dwain McFarland has Cleveland projected for 206 passing YPG (30th) this upcoming season. Fannin is talented and should still see plenty of targets, making him a solid TE1 option.

Chris Godwin—Projected for 113 targets

ESPN ADP: 117

Are we all excited about Emeka Egbuka this season? Hell, yeah! But let's not forget about Chris Godwin. Was it all sunshine and rainbows last season for him? Not really. He posted near-career-worst efficiency and counting numbers after coming back from his 2024 dislocated ankle. But triple-digit targets should have everyone looking a second time, especially at the right price. And if we see a rebound from Baker Mayfield as well? Things could be looking pretty good for this Buccaneers offense. I think Godwin's very best years are obviously behind him, but if you're able to draft him as a WR4 then it makes a lowered ceiling case much more tolerable.

Jakobi Meyers—Projected for 100 Targets

ESPN ADP: 107

We've talked about this a lot on the Fantasy Life Show, but if you think we have a clear idea of what the pecking order is going to be for these wide receivers, we don't! You can clearly see that in our projections, too. Parker Washington has the most projected targets at 107, then it's Meyers and Brian Thomas is "last" with 98. My biggest takeaway this offseason is I want to have different pieces, but Meyers is the cheapest. The Jaguars could end up being the new Packers of the AFC South—a team that just spreads the ball around with no true WR1 for fantasy. But if you're looking to take stabs, Meyers is the cheapest.

Joe Burrow vs. Jayden Daniels: Who do you pick?

We continue our series comparing players with similar ADPs with a look at a pair of QBs coming off injury-plagued seasons, but with massive upsides when they’re healthy, which they both are headed into the 2026 season.

Joe Burrow is one of the select number of quarterbacks who are aces in fantasy primarily from his passing proficiency. He’s always a threat to go for 4,500+ passing yards and 40+ TDs in any given season.

Jayden Daniels exploded as a rookie two years ago, and is one of the few players who could pass for 4,000+ yards and run for 1,000+ yards more. Danny Cross breaks it down with arguments for both, and delivers a final verdict. ⤵️

Blake Corum and More RB Handcuffs to Stash

Getting the handcuff to a stud RB can make a season. Some, like Blake Corum, are finds around pick 100 and can be the RB2 or flex in a Hero-RB build. He’s good enough to start on a regular basis, and if Kyren Williams misses any time, well, you’ll be glad you rostered him.
