Week 14 Fantasy Football Injury Report: Will Justin Herbert and Jayden Daniels Play?

Week 14 Fantasy Football Injury Report: Will Justin Herbert and Jayden Daniels Play?

Adam Ronis and Jorge Martin uncover the fantasy football-relevant injuries heading into Week 14 of the NFL season, focusing on Justin Herbert, Jayden Daniels and more.

With it being Week 14 and so many fantasy managers fighting for their playoff lives, every start/sit decision has even greater importance. Which means we cannot leave any stone unturned when it comes to the information we consume this week.

So here we are with the injury report for players with fantasy relevance. As always, we’ll be following these injuries as the week progresses and update this article when there is new information. Here’s to a healthy, and hopefully happy, last week of the regular season.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Injury Report

Quarterbacks

Justin Herbert, LAC

The Chargers’ franchise QB had surgery for broken bones in his left (non-throwing) hand on Monday. He played with a glove to protect his injured hand in Week 13. Herbert was limited in practice on Friday and the team is optimistic he will play on Monday. UPDATE: He's got the questionable tag after the week of practice. Everything looks like he's going to be starting, but this is far from great matchup. The Eagles are 14th, allowing 16.4 fantasy points per game to QBs. There's no Jalen Carter, as he's out with surgery on both shoulders. Two weeks ago, Dak Prescott picked the Eagles apart for 354 yards and 2 TDs indoors at Dallas. This game is inside at SoFi Stadium. For more information on his fantasy football outlook for Week 14, click here.

Jayden Daniels, WAS

Daniels is off the injury report and will start against the Vikings. Daniels is a low-end QB1. UPDATE: Daniels is a go. For more on his fantasy football outlook, check out this article.

Sam Darnold, SEA

Darnold injured his ankle in the victory over the Vikings, but it doesn’t appear that it’s going to impact his availability. Stay tuned if anything changes. UPDATE: Darnold does not have an injury designation going into Sunday, so he'll be under center in a week where he's QB15 in our rankings.

J.J. McCarthy, MIN

The second-year QB is back to full practice after suffering a concussion in Week 12. Next order of business, peppering Justin Jefferson with 10+ catchable targets. UPDATE: McCarthy has cleared the concussion protocol, and now comes the hard part for him. The offense has looked bad with him at the helm. Jefferson fantasy managers can at least take heart in the fact that the Commanders are fourth in allowing the most fantasy points and receiving yards to WRs. McCarthy is a starter in superflex leagues only, but Jefferson and possibly Jordan Addison have to be in lineups in this home matchup on the fast track.

Aaron Rodgers, PIT

It was not pretty to see Rodgers with a gash across his nose, on top of a fracture in his left (non-throwing wrist). He sat the first practice of this week, so we’ll be following his status. UPDATE: Rodgers was removed from the injury report, so he's gutting it out against the Ravens. He's only a starting option in superflex leagues.

Running Backs

Omarion Hampton, LAC (ankle)

Hampton put in a full practice on Friday and is expected to make his return from an ankle injury when the Chargers play Monday against the Eagles. He could split touches with Kimani Vidal.

Kyren Williams, LAR

Seeing Williams come out of the loss to the Panthers with an ankle was tough, but he came back in and HC Sean McVay expects him to be back this week. UPDATE: Kyren is good to go for Week 14, and is going up against a Cardinals defense that's allowing 24.3 fantasy points per game, eighth most in the league. Blake Corum could even be an emergency start.

Aaron Jones, MIN

A shoulder injury is not good for a running back, so Jones’ availability will be monitored closely. Starting the week with a limited practice is a good sign. UPDATE: No injury for Jones going into the weekend. He should be ready to go against a Washington defense that's sixth in the league with 108.7 rushing yards allowed to running backs.

Trey Benson, ARI

Benson hasn’t played since Week 4 with a knee injury, though he returned to practice last week before going DNP to end the week. He started this week with a DNP and he has been ruled OUT this week. There’s a chance he doesn’t return this season.

Emari Demercado, ARI

Demercado was limited in practice to start the week, but didn’t practice Friday and will miss another game with an ankle injury. Zonovan Knight and Michael Carter will lead the backfield.

Alvin Kamara, NO

Kamara will miss another game with knee/ankle injuries. Devin Neal will get the majority of the touches.

Wide Receivers

Tee Higgins, CIN

Higgins has cleared concussion protocol and will play this week.

Marvin Harrison Jr., ARI

Harrison injured his heel during the game last week and will miss this week. Michael Wilson will get a big bump with Harrison out.

Matthew Golden, GB

Golden has been limited in practice all week due to a wrist injury. He is listed as questionable and doesn’t have a big role in the offense. UPDATE: Golden is questionable, so keep an eye on him as inactives are announced.

Jayden Reed, GB

Reed was activated off injured reserve on Saturday after practicing on a limited basis all week. He'll likely play on Sunday in a huge matchup against the Bears. After the way the Packers eased Christian Watson back into the lineup after he returned from injury, it's hard to trust Reed as anything more than a boom/bust player who'd probably need a TD to pay off being started in Week 14.

Drake London, ATL

London missed all week of practice due to a knee injury and will sit out another game. Kyle Pitts could be headed for a big game and is a smash start this week.

Rome Odunze, CHI

If only we knew this news when it happened. Odunze has a stress fracture in his foot that he has been playing through and is out against the Packers. He is considered week-to-week. Luther Burden will benefit and rises up the rankings

Parker Washington, JAX (hip)

Starting the week with a DNP is a bad sign for Washington’s Week 4 availability.

Tight Ends

Dalton Kincaid, BUF

Kincaid practiced on a limited basis after missing the past two games with a hamstring injury. He also picked up a knee injury designation, which is not great for his availability. UPDATE: This injury will go all the way to the 11:30 a.m. ET inactives announcement. If he's playing, he's a must start against the Bengals defense that's far and away the worst in the league against TEs.
