Week 6 Wide Receiver Streamers For Fantasy Football: Dontayvion Wicks Gets An Opening
Adam Pfeifer uncovered the wide receiver streamers to target for fantasy football in Week 6.
With bye weeks not slowing down anytime soon, finding viable streaming options is crucial.
Speaking of, I’m serving as a Week 6 streaming option myself, filling in this week. I’ll be highlighting some interesting streamers for all four main positions, giving you players you can plug into your lineup if you are dealing with bye weeks and/or injuries. Keep an eye on our fantasy football rankings and fantasy football projections to get further confirmation why these players are targets.
Let’s take a look at some wide receivers who could potentially enter your lineups this weekend.
Wide Receiver Streamers for Week 6 Fantasy Football
Germie Bernard @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This time last week, many were excited about the potential for Roman Wilson in Pittsburgh. And rightfully so. Already appearing to finally break out, Wilson was set for more usage with Michael Pittman sidelined. But Wilson left Sunday’s game with an injury and is expected to miss a few weeks. Bernard, who ran 94% of the routes and led the Steelers in targets on Sunday, is set to play a massive role in this offense going forward. And it certainly doesn’t hurt that Aaron Rodgers has been speaking very highly of the rookie.
With Pittman and Wilson sidelined, 6-8 targets feels like a safe projection for Bernard against a vulnerable Tampa Bay pass defense.
Dontayvion Wicks vs Carolina Panthers
Assuming DeVonta Smith (hamstring) doesn’t play in Week 6, Wicks is a very solid WR3/FLEX play in PPR formats. He’s coming off a solid game, catching 5-of-8 targets for 63 yards, but he was so close to connecting on a 50-yard touchdown that would have made his day even greater. Wicks has now eclipsed 60 receiving yards in three-of-five games this season and with Smith sidelined over the last two weeks, he’s sporting a solid 22% target share.
I really like this matchup for Wicks, as Carolina is still missing its top two corners in Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson. When we last saw the Panthers in Week 4 they were giving up plenty of explosive plays to Jameson Williams and Isaac TeSlaa on the perimeter.
Kendrick Bourne @ Los Angeles Rams
Bourne is the direct beneficiary of the Marvin Harrison Jr. trade. While he ran only 61% of the routes on Sunday, Bourne did draw 8 targets, hauling in 5 for 70 yards. Arizona ran 13 personnel on a league-high 25 plays in Week 6, which is Michael Wilson’s territory. They should continue to operate out of 12 and 13 as much as anyone in football, but Bourne will still see an uptick in targets going forward. The Rams matchup doesn’t look great on paper, but this is a defense that has shut down opposing lead receivers, allowing the fewest receiving yards per game to WR1s (21.7).
It wouldn’t shock me to see Wilson have a second consecutive quiet day, leading to more production from Bourne.
