Yahoo Fantasy Football ADP Values and Fades: Is Josh Allen Too Expensive?

We’re in the middle of August, draft season is about to hit another gear, and it’s time to take a look at some of the Yahoo fantasy football ADPs to target and fade.

ADP Values On Yahoo Fantasy Football

A.J. Brown | WR | Patriots (ADP 25.4)

A.J. Brown at 25.4 is a great price.

Across all sites, Brown has a 22.5 consensus ADP, and he was even cheaper for anyone drafting early in the spring or summer.

Assuming a clean bill of health, he is the de facto No. 1 receiver in New England with essentially no target competition. The Patriots threw at the ninth-highest neutral rate last season, and a more difficult schedule could force that passing volume even higher.

Fantasy Life projects Brown for 131 targets, 85 catches, 1,170.7 yards and 7.5 touchdowns. That is a high-volume, high-ceiling profile, and I think there is a tier break after him in Yahoo drafts. I would be ecstatic to get him at the 2-3 turn.

Malik Nabers | WR | Giants (ADP 35.3)

The market has not fully caught up to the positive Malik Nabers news.

There is risk, of course. We will not truly know where Nabers stands until we see him handle a full workload early in the season. But all the recent camp reports have been encouraging, and Giants’ head coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that the plan is to ramp Nabers up next week.

That is another positive piece of information for a player who appears well ahead of schedule.

We project Nabers for 141 targets, more than 1,100 receiving yards and eight touchdowns—good for the eighth-most PPR points among wide receivers. At 35.3 overall, that is an incredible value.

There is a chance he starts slowly, which matters more in deeper, start/sit leagues where you cannot afford to waste time. But if you are chasing possible league winners, Nabers belongs near the top of the list at this cost. When healthy in 2024, he led the NFL with a target share north of 32% and posted a ridiculous 40.6% air-yards share.

Jordyn Tyson | WR | Saints (ADP 91.4)

Jordyn Tyson at 91.4 is another Yahoo value I love.

We have not heard negative news on Tyson in camp. He was one of the more polarizing prospects in the draft because the athleticism is elite, while the injury history coming out of Arizona State was concerning. That is a reasonable caution flag, but the gap between Tyson and Chris Olave in Yahoo ADP feels too wide.

Tyson is going roughly 11 picks later than his consensus ADP. There is a realistic path where he leads the Saints in several receiving categories. Is that the most likely outcome for a rookie? Probably not. But it is far from unreasonable.

When you look at the players going in his range, I think Tyson has as much ceiling as anyone. That is the type of bet I want to make around pick 90.

Yahoo Fantasy Football ADPs To Avoid In 2026

Josh Allen | QB | Bills (ADP 19.5)

I love Josh Allen. I love the weekly ceiling, especially in head-to-head formats. But pick 19.5 is simply too early for me.

The quarterback position offers a wealth of riches this year. There are so many viable approaches to the position, including high-end options who have slipped from their historic prices and several undervalued middle-round targets.

This is strictly a roster-construction fade. At this cost, I cannot justify passing on a potential overall RB1 or elite wide receiver to take Allen.

Cam Skattebo | RB | Giants (ADP 41.1)

Cam Skattebo was an animal during his brief, healthy cup of coffee last year, but I am not comfortable investing pick 41.1 in a player coming off an injury and sharing a backfield with a capable Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Tracy is an effective runner, and if he puts the fumbling concerns in the rearview mirror, he should continue to have a meaningful role. The backs being listed as co-starters on the Giants’ first official depth chart might not mean much, but it is not exactly encouraging when you are spending a fourth-round pick on one of them.

Even if Skattebo is fully healthy, I do not see him owning this backfield. A 60-40 split feels more realistic, and I do not want to lean on that as the anchor of my running back room in start/sit leagues.

Tucker Kraft | TE | Packers (ADP 61.2)

Tucker Kraft at 61.2 is another price fade.

Kraft is coming off a gruesome injury, though the camp reports have been positive. He may need a couple of games to fully ramp up, and I cannot justify treating him as this important in any format when he is going roughly 14 picks ahead of his consensus ADP.

Around Kraft’s Yahoo ADP, you can take Luther Burden, Bhayshul Tuten, Jameson Williams, DJ Moore or Mike Evans. I would rather make early investments around those types of players for a variety of reasons.

Kraft can be a useful tight end. At this price, though, I will let someone else take the risk.
