Week 2 Guillotine Leagues ADP Risers & Fallers: Brock Purdy Moving Up

While we may be on to Week 2 of the NFL season, one of the beauties of Guillotine Leagues^TM is that every week can be a new beginning, That’s because drafts are happening all season. So instead of needing 18 teams for a full-season Guillotine League, now you need just 17 teams to be playing for all the marbles in Week 17. And just lop off a team every week.

Players Rising in Guillotine Leagues ADP

Brock Purdy | QB | SF | +16.1

ADP: 93.9

While the 205 yards from Week 1 against the Rams may seem pedestrian, the 3 TD passes and 29 rushing yards are anything but. All offseason Brock Purdy was one of those QBs we were told to wait on to draft in rounds 6-8. Now he gets the Dolphins in the 49ers’ home opener. He could get all the stats you need to survive the chop by halftime. Our fantasy football projections have him as the QB4 with 18.1 fantasy points.

D’Andre Swift | RB | +7.3

ADP: 29.7

Finally, drafters are putting some respect on D'Andre Swift’s name. It always felt like a gift that Swift was falling into the 40s in summer drafts. His 134 scrimmage yards and 3 TDs reminded everyone this is a talented back in a great offense, running behind a solid offensive line. Even sharing the backfield with Kyle Monangai, Swift is the RB1 here. Now we have a home date against the Vikings that could see some points. Draft him and be happy.

Deebo Samuel | WR | SF | +23.7

ADP: 111.4

This is as much about the opportunity as it is a nostalgia pick for those harking back to the glory days of 2021. Deebo Samuel moved up the pecking order after injuries to young WRs Ricky Pearsall and De'Zhaun Stribling. Yes, Demarcus Robinson moved up 42.8 points after scoring a TD in the opener, but Samuel is the player who could have a consistent role—with rushing attempts, too. The 49ers’ target tree has gotten more consolidated around Mike Evans, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and Deebo.

Honorable mention: Elijah Sarratt is holding steady at pick 236, but if Zay Flowers joins Ja'Kobi Lane on the sideline, well, Lamar Jackson has to throw to someone. May as well be the WR who was catching passes in the CFB National Championship Game eight months ago.

Isaiah Likely | TE | NYG | 17.1

ADP: 94.1

Last I checked, a 96 UR Score is pretty good. That’s what Isaiah Likely had in his first game in a Giants uniform, thanks to a TE1 overall finish with an 8-78-2 stat line. It looks a little tougher this week going to Los Angeles and taking on the Rams on Monday Night Football. Still, this game could see some points scored, and Likely appears to be the No. 2 target behind Malik Nabers. Draft away.

Players Falling in Guillotine Leagues ADP

Drake Maye | QB | NE | -7

ADP: 60.5

Funny what a rough opening against a top-flight defense playing at home will do to a guy’s outlook. Throwing for just 178 yards and 3 picks won’t help things, especially coming off the gauntlet of tough defenses Drake Maye faced last postseason. The pass rush won’t be easy from the Steelers this week, but when you survive the schedule lightens up for Maye and the Pats.

Jonathon Brooks | RB | CAR | -7.1

ADP: 89.4

About that Year 3 breakout now that he’s supposedly healthy … well. That 19% snap share and losing the rush attempt battle with Chuba Hubbard 10-4 is not a great start to 2026. Jonathon Brooks is still talented, but it definitely shows that the team is easing him back into action. That 48-yard catch and run was encouraging, but it’s hard to feel good about starting Brooks as an RB2 in Guillotine Leagues.

Brian Thomas | WR | JAX | -9.4

ADP: 99.8

This is as much about the Parker Washington hype and 5-83-1 stat line to open the season as it is about Brian Thomas Jr. catching his 3 targets (for 40 yards) and his 56% route share in the opener. Albeit he did come out for part of the game with an injury. Can you trust him in a flex spot in Guillotine Leagues? Best to wait and pick him up later if he looks like he’s becoming a bigger part of the offense.

Oronde Gadsden | TE | LAC | -14

ADP: 169.6

There was the good with that 26-yard catch and run by Oronde Gadsden last week that looked so pretty. Then there was the bad, which was the 14% route share last week. No matter how much we like where the offense is going under Mike McDaniel, even if you’re waiting at TE, it’s hard to start Gadsden with any confidence you’ll survive the chop.
