NFL Player Prediction Market Props to Trade for Week 1: Juwan Johnson In Prime Position

Week 1 is knocking down the door, and there are plenty of opportunities to trade sports contracts on Kalshi. Let’s take a look at a few of the best spots popping off the page before Sunday’s action.

Juwan Johnson 1+ Touchdown

Yes at 25 cents on Kalshi

Juwan Johnson is one of my favorite touchdown targets on the entire Week 1 slate.

The Saints visit the Lions in a game with a 49.5-point total, one of the better projected scoring environments of the weekend. New Orleans is a touchdown underdog, too, which means Tyler Shough and the passing game could be playing catch-up for portions of this one.

Jordyn Tyson remains out, and Taysom Hill is no longer with the team. Outside of Chris Olave, the Saints do not have many established pass catchers who demand defensive attention. Johnson should be one of the offense’s highest-priority targets, especially when the field gets condensed.

He also has the role you want. Johnson led the Saints in snaps inside both the five- and 10-yard lines last year. In a high-total matchup against a Detroit defense that leaves something to be desired, I am willing to buy the “Yes” side.

Kyle Monangai 1+ Touchdown

Kyle Monangai is another touchdown contract that immediately caught my attention.

Kalshi has him at 25 cents to score, while the platform’s forecast puts his touchdown probability closer to 31%.

Monangai carved out a real role with Chicago last season, even if a chunk of missed training-camp time caused plenty of season-long fantasy managers to hesitate. The good news is that he returned to practice this week, and the Bears now have a chance to deploy him as the physical 1B complement to D’Andre Swift in Ben Johnson’s offense.

That role matters near the goal line.

When Monangai was active last season, he played nearly half of Chicago’s offensive snaps inside the five-yard line. He is not simply a between-the-20s backup; he has already shown he can get onto the field for the highest-value carries.

Swift should lead the backfield, but Monangai does not need 20 touches to cash this contract. One goal-line series is enough. At 25 cents, I like taking the shot.

Adonai Mitchell 40+ Receiving Yards

Adonai Mitchell is the boom-or-bust target I want to take in Week 1.

The Titans’ defense didn’t look great during the preseason. But plenty of beat writers noted that the unit looked much better in joint practices, and preseason football can only tell us so much.

Who knows, but I’m always up for taking a shot on an ambiguous situation, and the Titans' defense certainly fits the bill.

Robert Saleh also brings a brand-new defensive scheme to Tennessee, and early-season communication errors are always possible, which could lead to a big broken play or two.

More importantly, I expect Mitchell to operate as New York’s early-season No. 2 receiving option. He’s facing a Titans secondary with two new corners, and Mitchell is an air-yard machine who does not need high volume to get there. One deep connection can put this contract in excellent shape, and two catches could get the job done.

This is not a safe investment. Mitchell is volatile by nature. But that is exactly why the price is attractive. I am buying the upside.
