We're starting Week 3 of the NFL season with a TNF matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers. The Packers are 5.5-point favorites, as the Falcons have struggled so far this season. Atlanta looks to build some momentum, as they are handing the keys over to QB Michael Penix to try and get this offense back on track.

I'm going to break down my DraftKings NFL DFS picks for this game. I'll first highlight some players that I want to target in the captain spot, who get a 1.5x FP boost. High-upside players are who you want to target at the captain spot, and getting them lower-owned is also a plus. I will then break down some flex plays that I like to round out your lineups. DraftKings Captain Picks For GB vs. ATL Showdown Slate

Bijan Robinson - ATL RB ($17,700): I'm starting off captain picks with the highest-priced player on this showdown. Robinson is the engine for this Falcons team. He is their obvious first look in the rushing game, but also who they fall back on when their passing looks aren't open. He is a true jack of all trades, and combines a high floor with a high ceiling. The Falcons are coming off of a subpar Week 2 vs. the Panthers, and Bijan will lead the bounceback game here. Value is decent enough on this slate where getting to Robinson at captain isn't forfeiting the bottom of your lineup.

Drake London - ATL WR ($13,200): London has struggled to start the year. Some may directly blame that on the poor QB play that the Falcons have had thus far. Atlanta is switching it up at QB this week, bringing Michael Penix back into the lineup, and it may be all London needs to get back on track. London had a stellar connection last year with Penix at QB, averaging over 19 fps per game. This, combined with the Packers letting up above-average performances to opponents' WR1s thus far, is a good recipe for the London and the Falcons offense to get back on track here. Penix falls into a salary that's hard to get to after clicking Bijan and Jordan Love, so I like taking London here, hoping he's the main receiving beneficiary.

Jordan Love - GB QB ($15,200): I'm staying up top to round out my captain plays, ending with Jordan Love. This matchup couldn't be much better; it is a complete cakewalk on paper. The Falcons are also without 2 of their top CBs, Billy Bowman Jr. and A.J. Terrell. While Jayden Reed being out does weaken the receiver room a bit, it makes the others more enticing and gives us good options to pair Love with. I like Love to spread the ball out here and be able to put up a good enough score to be in the CPT, without being overshadowed fantasy-wise by one of his receivers. He’s a good cash pick at captain, along with Bijan.

FLEX Targets For GB vs. ATL Showdown DFS Slate on DraftKings

Christian Watson - GB WR ($9,800)/Matthew Golden - GB WR ($7,800): Let's first mention GB's top two WRs here. With Jayden Reed out, Christian Watson and Matthew Golden get a considerable boost and are both popping into a bunch of optimal lineups. I expect both to be around 40-50% owned, which makes sense. Many will try to get at least one of these two to pair with Love. Watson is the better raw play here, but Golden's $2k discount makes him easier to get into lineups, and will probably lead to him coming in higher than Watson. I prefer getting to Watson at lower ownership.

Tucker Kraft - GB TE ($7,000): A pivot off the top 2 GB receivers, I love Tucker Kraft here. I always seem to underestimate TE ownership, so we could see him come in closer to the WRs in ownership than I think. Regardless, I like the salary relief here, and love the matchup. The Falcons have struggled against TEs in these first two weeks, allowing the fourth-most FPs to the position.

This showdown offers some playable value, which is nice considering the past few primetime slates have been super thin down at the bottom. As always, I will mention the kickers, who are always viable. Slight lean to Trey Smack ($5,200), who has the GB kicking duties as a 6pt favorite here. Next is Kaleb Johnson, who comes in at a very good price tag here for his role. The Packers have shown a three-headed RB attack with Johnson, MarShawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks. Lloyd has struggled to start the year, and projections have Johnson and Lloyd splitting carries at the top, followed by Brooks. His ceiling depends on a TD, but he provides a good enough floor as he should get 7-10 carries here. Lastly, I'm going to mention Jahan Dotson ($3,000). He is this showdown's lowest-priced player with an actual floor. He is the Falcons WR2 here and has had a 70% snap rate thus far. He’s accumulated 4 targets in each of the year's first two contests, which is good to see.
