We're on to Week 4 of the NFL season. The week kicks off with a TNF matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. It's a low-total game at just 38.5 points, and the Steelers are 1.5-point favorites in what is projected to be a close game.

I'm going to break down my DraftKings NFL DFS picks for the showdown slate. First, I'll highlight some players that I want to target in the captain spot, who get a 1.5x FP boost. High-upside players are who I want to target here, and the lower owned, the better. I will then break down some flex position plays I like to round out your lineups. Let's dive into it!

Thursday Night Football CLE vs PIT DraftKings NFL DFS Showdown Picks

DraftKings NFL DFS Captain Picks For Browns vs. Steelers

Jaylen Warren - PIT RB ($14,400): Our second-highest-priced player on the showdown slate, and far and away the clear optimal CPT play here, is Jaylen Warren. We saw Rico Dowdle overtake the RB1 duties to start the season, with Warren seeing less time than we are accustomed to. Dowdle was out in Week 3, however, and we saw Warren become a complete bellcow back and clear number 1 option. Dowdle is going to be out here vs. the Browns, so we can expect to see a similar role as last week for Warren. Week 3 saw Warren have 17 rushes for 127 yards, as well as 3 receptions for 49 yards. Warren is the player with the best role on the entire slate, and while coming in at a high price, he is also the best projected points-per-dollar play. He is a near lock at captain in cash games, and also looks great in GPPs. Just look to get different in the flex if playing Warren CPT in GPPs, as he's going to be really high owned.

KC Concepcion - CLE WR ($9,600): The top receiving option for the Browns, as a rookie, KC Concepcion has been getting incredible opportunities to start the season. The box scores aren't quite showing it, though. After an empty Week 1, KC has got 15 total targets across Weeks 2 and 3. His role is clearly getting bigger week by week as he gets more comfortable in the offense. You're not going to want to miss the game where he completely pops off. I'm on him here, and I like him as the captain. He’s a really high-upside play who may be a little less owned than he should be due to his outcomes thus far this season. He is the top receiving option here for the Browns.

DK Metcalf - PIT WR ($13,500): Another underperforming WR so far this season, DK Metcalf is looking to build on a quiet but steady first few weeks. With 10, 9, and 5 targets so far in the first 3 weeks, it is clear that he is the Steelers' top option and is getting a lot of opportunity to make big plays. He finally found the end zone for the first time this season vs. the Bengals last week, which is great to see. I like getting WRs in the CPT spot in GPPs. I'm even fine playing Metcalf captain without Rodgers in the flex, just due to the outlook of this game. Metcalf could put up a good enough score with just one TD on top of his normal workload. And with Warren presumably getting a ton of work, I'm okay fading Aaron Rodgers, even with Metcalf at CPT.

FLEX Plays For DraftKings NFL DFS Thursday Night Football Showdown Slate

Deshaun Watson - CLE QB ($9,400): I'm starting the flex plays with my preferred QB option here. In a closely projected game, I like Watson to keep his foot on the pedal for the whole game here and not be able to rely on the rushing game and/or burning clock. Watson hasn't had a bad start to the year by any means, producing 2 passing TDs and no turnovers in each of the last two games. He realistically gives us a 10+ point floor. I like just clicking him here and moving on to building the rest of my lineup. He's got good options to pair with: KC Concepcion, Harold Fannin, and Denzel Boston.

Harold Fannin - CLE TE ($7,400): The Browns' top TE here has been very healthily involved in the passing game, as well as seemingly the top red zone target thus far. Fannin is coming off of a 6-target game in Week 2, followed by 9 targets in Week 3. He finished the week with 7 receptions for 51 yards and 2 touchdowns. This isn't something we can expect on a week-to-week basis, but the Browns have always been a good TE team to target, as they seem to rely on them more when in doubt. Fannin Jr. has a super high ceiling any time he's on the field, as well as showing his floor with the targets he's been getting. It's hard to play both him and Concepcion, so if fading KC, I like getting to Fannin here. I'm personally going to be building multiple lineups and getting a healthy share of both, mixing and matching a bit.

NFL DFS Value Picks For Browns vs. Steelers Showdown Slate On DraftKings

We don't have much deep value here on this showdown slate, but the lower mid-range provides some very playable pieces. First, the kickers. Chris Boswell ($5,200) and Andre Szmyt ($4,600) are popping in a ton of optimals right now. Most top lineups have at least one of them, with even some getting to both. I don't love getting to both, but grabbing one seems like great salary relief here.

Roman Wilson ($4,000) is our other player to mention here. We saw him be heavily involved in Week 3 vs. the Bengals. With 6 targets, he hauled in 3 of them for 60 yards and a TD. I don't love clicking a player like this after a ceiling game as he had in Week 3, as I think he may be overowned, but I will definitely have some. He is the Steelers' third option here behind Metcalf and Pittman, and he is looked to on many long plays where coverage breaks down. This gives him a nice ceiling, as well as a few-target floor. A good value here.
