FanDuel NFL DFS Picks For Week 3's Sunday Main Slate: Josh Allen, Chuba Hubbard & More

Week 3 is officially here, and just like last week, I'm here to provide my favorite FanDuel NFL DFS Plays for the Sunday main slate.

Each week, I will provide you with my core plays (3) that I am building my single-entry lineup around, as well as my favorite value play (with some honorable mentions) and my favorite lower-owned play for single-entry or small-field, 3-5-max contests (again, with a handful of honorable mentions).

Five plays to build around and a small list of others to include in your player pool. Let's get into it.

Core Plays For The FanDuel NFL DFS Week 3 Slate

Josh Allen | QB | Bills ($9,100)

The theme of Week 3 in single-entry is jamming in the top-end studs and soaking up value at the WR/TE position. The spend-ups on this slate start with Josh Allen for me.

He's averaged 41.2 points per game through the first two weeks, getting it done in the air (10.1-yard aDOT, 5 passing TDs, 291 passing yards per game) as well as on the ground (22% des. rush attempts, 9% scramble rate, 4 rushing TDs). That's over 300 pass+rush yards and 4.5 touchdowns per game.

In a game against the spiraling Chargers, Allen should once again dominate in all facets, with or without WR1 DJ Moore.

Jahmyr Gibbs | RB | Lions ($9,200)

Not much needs to be said about Jahmyr Gibbs through two weeks. He's commanded 90% of the team's rushing attempts on a 77% snap rate while also running 55% of the routes while commanding a 17% target share. His 98 Utilization Score is near-perfect, and his 29.0 points per game is first among all running backs. If this type of utilization continues, we could be in for a truly historic season.

This makes Gibbs a cash/single-entry staple, and given the rather loose pricing on some other pieces this week, he's not difficult to build around on FanDuel.

Kenneth Walker | RB | Chiefs ($8,300)

One of those loose prices I just referred to? Kenneth Walker, who trails Gibbs by just one in Utilization Score (97) on the season while also averaging 29.0 points per game. He's played 76% of the snaps, accounting for 81% of the rush attempts, 46% of the routes with a gaudy 21% target share, and 0.33 targets per route. He's gotten 100% of the rush attempts inside the five-yard line (3 goal-line carries last week) and had 10 (!) targets last week.

He's looked every bit the workhorse that all of the offseason reports in Kansas City made him out to be, and as a massive favorite against arguably the best team in the league (MIA), Walker should run rampant on Sunday for nearly $1,000 less than Gibbs. I have every intention of playing both Gibbs and Walker in all three of my main lineups on Sunday.

Value Play For Week 3 NFL DFS On FanDuel

Chuba Hubbard | RB | Panthers ($6,700)

The RB3 conversation on FanDuel is a pivotal one, with two high-floor and potential high-upside players only $400 apart: Chuba Hubbard and Jaylen Warren. The latter is projected to carry more ownership, but I think, in a vacuum, that Hubbard is the stronger play.

With Jonathon Brooks out, Hubbard steps into a bellcow role, something we've seen on numerous occasions. Hubbard posted an RB16 finish in 2024 after logging 77% of the snaps and 78% of the rush attempts while running 61% of the routes. Last season, we saw an RB8 finish in Week 1 on 80% of the rush attempts and an RB10 finish on a 73% route rate in Week 2 before he ultimately lost his job to a red-hot Rico Dowdle.

He has three-down ability and currently projects as our RB10 in projections (Warren RB14). As crazy as it would've sounded a month ago, I trust this Panthers offense to produce far more than I do the Steelers, and I trust that Hubbard has the multi-TD-upside edge over Warren.

FanDuel NFL DFS Low-Owned Player To Target

Dalton Schultz | TE | Texans ($5,800)

Typically, after a week like Schultz had (12-140-0 on 14 targets), we'd be staring down the barrel of the chalkiest tight end play on the slate, especially with Nico Collins ruled out for the second straight week. But because of his price increase, coupled with a combination of suppressed prices and opportunity for another pair of tight ends (Dalton Kincaid, Mark Andrews), Schultz's ownership is projected to be held in check.

In tournaments, I think that is a mistake. His 28% target share in Week 2 paced Houston pass catchers, with the next closest being Xavier Hutchinson at 17%. There simply isn't any depth left in this wide receiver room to provide reasonable target competition for Schultz. The Colts defense has gotten ravaged through two weeks, giving up a +2.8-point fantasy boost to the TE position, with their secondary getting torched across the board two games in a row.
