Buy, Sell, Hold for Fantasy Football Week 7: Keon Coleman Is Thriving

Cooterdoodle breaks down players to buy, sell and hold in fantasy football leagues ahead of Week 7, including A.J. Brown, Keon Coleman and all Los Angeles Chargers.

I hope you got in on the Germie Bernard train before it left the station.

Let's see what other rides we can jump on.

Let’s move into Buy, Sell, Hold for Week 7. But first:

REMEMBER: NO ADVICE IS HELPFUL WITHOUT CONTEXT

  • You know your league's scoring best.
  • You know your roster best.
  • You know what players are available on waivers best.

Consider all context when trading.

Here are some players to consider as buys, sells and holds moving into Week 7.

BUY: Strategically

A.J. Brown | WR | NE

I want you to take advantage of your leaguemate right this second.

I’ll keep this short. Last week, A.J. Brown was a buy because he was coming off of an injury. Now, he's a buy because your leaguemate is likely panicking over his dropped balls.

In his debut, Brown turned 10 targets into three catches for 27 yards.

GROSS! YUCK!

GIVE HIM TO ME NOW.

Jordyn Tyson | WR | NO

If you're not afraid to take a risk on a guy who might re-aggravate his injury… You could do much worse than Tyson, who is tied to Tyler Shough. You know, the QB who managed to throw three TDs in Week 6 despite playing through an injury.

Who needs hand bones, anyways?

Buy Into Bye Weeks

Those 1-5 teams might not have the sustainability to take on another loss head-on when their bye-week players sit uselessly on their bench.

See if any of those f*cking losers in your league have these guys on their roster:

  • Keon Coleman. Coleman thrives when DJ Moore is off the field. And Moore can’t seem to stay on the field.
  • Bhayshul Tuten. I know. He just had the breakout game. You should’ve bought him weeks ago, like we were telling you to.

But if Tuten is on a desperate manager's team, you might still have a chance.

  • Parker Washington. His 1.5 fantasy points in Week 4 and 8.4 fantasy points in Week 6 miiiight be just what it takes to loosen the death grip your leaguemate has had on Washington since the draft. See if those frustrations can turn into fruitful negotiations.
  • SWING BIG for James Cook or Josh Allen. "No one's trading those guys." Nothing is impossible. Remember, someone was asking me just last week if they should trade away JSN. You'll have to pay for it, but c'mon. Swing for the fences, people!

Oh… I didn't mention any Chargers did I?

This is not a mistake.

SELL: All Chargers

  • Justin Herbert: Have you not dropped him yet? Waiver wire QBs are outproducing… Free yourself.
  • Omarion Hampton: You probably would've been better off drafting Brian Robinson… And Hampton's schedule doesn't get any nicer after the bye.
  • Quentin Johnston: Sure, he sees a bit of a boost in the absence of Ladd McConkey. But this offense isn't firing on all cylinders, and his floor is waiting to bottom out every week.

Is there a chance that the Chargers right the ship? Sure. We saw Drake Maye come back from his absolutely abysmal start to the season. We saw Colston Loveland get used in the end zone this week. Anything can happen!

But sh*t stinks in L.A.

And I’m sick and tired of waiting around to see if Mike McDaniel can FaBreeze his way out of DooDoo City.

With the Chargers on bye in Week 7, at least you don’t have to pretend to think about starting any of them…

HOLD: Don't get skittish.

Carnell Tate | WR | TEN

After his Week 6 blow-up against Indianapolis, some managers may be ready to sell high. But Carnell Tate has several things going for him.

  • After Tate's bye in Week 9, he's facing some super juicy matchups (DAL, DET, WAS, etc.). YUM.
  • 25%+ target share in four out of six games
  • We've seen Tate knocking at top-10 WR production twice this season

The problem isn't Tate. It's the Titans. They're running fewer plays than a group of third graders at recess. And as Dwain McFarland says, "the Titans offense is weighing him down."

If this Titans offense can improve, Tate is poised to keep the blow-up weeks coming. Let's hold and see what happens.
