QB pickings are slim, almost regardless of format, so this year’s stream theme’s simple as pie - close our eyes, attack the worst defenses we can find, then hope for the best.
Also remember, it’s bye-week season…

🥇STREAM OF THE WEEK – Dead Cat Bounce
Bryce Young, CAR vs DAL in Week 6
When in doubt, find the ‘Boys and roll ‘em out…
Yes, Dallas finally snapped an unbelievable three-week streak of allowing the overall QB2 this Sunday. Hooray. Let’s hold off on engraving any invitations to announce trouncing this woeful Jets’ bottom-5 passing offense. Justin Fields finished as Week 5’s fantasy QB6 anyway (21.9 FPS), and no one allows nearly as many fantasy points per game to opposing QBs as the Cowboys (27.1).
Have I banged the Bryce Young drum before? More than I care to admit, but that’s not the only thing delivering déjà vu… I swear, we’ve been here before. Last year, the undersized and overhyped Panthers’ shot-caller started very poorly, posted a ceiling game, only to faceplant again—all before an eventual rise like the mighty Phoenix.
Doesn’t sound familiar? Maybe a look at Young’s year-over-year EPA/Attempt will ring a bell…

When it comes to defensive streaming matchups, few amp you up like facing these Cowboys—the spreadsheet’s absolutely littered with bottom-3 stats at every turn. Yikes.
Streaming QBs Against The Cowboys
- -0.18 Defensive EPA Per Play: Last
- 412.0 Yards Allowed Per Game: Last
- 47.6% Success Rate: 30th
- 38.3 Average Drive Distance Allowed: 30th
- -0.35 Defensive EPA Per Dropback: Last
- 117.2 Opposer Passer Rating: 31st
- 72.4% Completion Rate: 30th
- 18 +20-Yard Completions: 30th
- 42.4% Tackle Success: Last
- 3.2% Sack Rate: 29th
Carolina’s only wins occurred at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, where they’ll host a Cowboys secondary missing multiple starters. While Young’s home/road splits don’t resemble some Jared Goff-esque auto-smash, that little extra boost becomes determinative when supply’s so low.
Bryce Young: Road ⏩ Home Splits (career stats)
Completion Rate: 56.7% road ⏩ 64.6% home
Passer Rating: 72.2 ⏩ 83.8
Yards Per Attempt: 5.4 ⏩ 6.1
INT/Attempt: 2.4% ⏩ 1.8%
Blitz EPA: -0.28 ⏩ +0.01
Let’s call 24 fantasy points our pivot point this weekend—Dallas hasn’t allowed fewer, while Bryce Young’s yet to go over. Something’s gotta give…
BONUS BACKUP STREAM OF THE WEEK – Beware The Rattler-Snake
🥈 Spencer Rattler, NO vs NE in Week 6
If Young’s unavailable, desperate times call for desperate measures. Ceilings are fun, but floors win weeks, too!
Surprising as it may seem, Spencer Rattler’s on a pretty respectable list of QBs without a single weekly finish outside the top-24.
Chip Kelly’s a streamer’s best friend this season, running the second-most plays and roughly 40 dropbacks per game. Quantity’s the next-best thing to quality. Rattler’s also doing his part by protecting the football, committing just a single pick in almost 200 dropbacks. Not too shabby. For reference, four different QBs threw multiple picks in Week 5 alone.
New Orleans' offense may lack explosives, but this Family Truckster is getting the Griswalds to Wally World against the NFL’s worst secondary in terms of deep shots allowed (21).
Since we've been messing around with Comet here (a LOT. Maybe too much), I asked it to make me three t-shirt designs for our new Rattler-inspired mantra! Not available in stores yet, but.. they could be soon?

Shoutout Comet.
QB Streaming Survey Says…
Deeper or SuperFlex leagues call for more diligent dives, we get it. Since there’s no time to get thoughts down on every fantasy-viable QB, check this out. Some pictures are worth more than a thousand words.
Time for our weekly check-in on the free agent QB pool, and how the field’s passer rating measures up to point production—which usually correlates positively to fantasy success. Long story short, keeping your focus on the top-right of this chart below will steer you on the correct path more often than not.
Sam Darnold’s our clubhouse leader for now, but gets two tough defenses coming up in a row (JAX and HOU) before a bye. It’ll be interesting to see how Darnold fares and whether I’ll regret grabbing him now.
