Week 8 Quarterback Streamers For Fantasy Football: Malik Willis Has Arrived
Jorge Martin identified the quarterback streamers for fantasy football in Week 8.
Hello Week 8, we’re almost halfway to the fantasy championship week. How’d that happen? We’re also heavy into bye weeks, and that means Brock Purdy, C.J. Stroud, Tyler Shough and even the suddenly prolific J.J. McCarthy are leaving your starting lineups this week. It being Halloween week, does that leave you scared? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered.
Let’s get into some streamers. As always with quarterbacks, we’ll mine the fantasy football rankings for players outside the top 12. Make sure to check out our fantasy football projections to get further confirmation why these players are targets. Lastly, all stats versus each position group listed below are from our wonderful DvP tool and any utilization data came from our UR Score.

Quarterback Streamers for Week 8
Malik Willis | Dolphins vs. Patriots
Admittedly, I rage drafted Willis on two of my teams because I felt he was dropping too far and was in danger of going undrafted completely. So it was nice to see him pass for 208 yards, rush for 37 more and total 3 TDs against the Jets. Is this a sign of things to come? It being the first game off a bye, there’s hope that he turned a corner.
Plus, the Patriots have been gettable of late on defense, giving up 308-2 to Caleb Williams last week. This game is also in Miami, and we’ve seen weird stuff happen for the Patriots when they travel to South Florida.
Jacoby Brissett | Cardinals at Cowboys
We’re not on Carson Beck watch yet. Even though Brissett has had plenty of company from opposing defenders in the backfield, he’s still passed for 272 yards or more four times and 2+ TDs three times. The line on this game is a whopping 54 points, so plenty of offensive fireworks are expected.
Brissett has had lots of experience playing catchup with the opposition the past two seasons, and the Cowboys are allowing 20 FPG to the QBs, tied for fifth most in the league. This may be a game you don’t watch, just look at the fantasy points you got from Brissett afterward.
Kyler Murray | Vikings at Lions
I get it. It hasn’t been pretty with Murray, and this may be the last time that he makes it into this space. Only twice in five games has Murray surpassed 225 passing yards, and he hasn’t thrown multiple TDs in any game. But if there’s an offense that can push even the Vikings’ seemingly impenetrable defensive unit, it’s the Lions.
Only the Bills and 49ers have scored more points than Detroit’s 184. And if the Vikings have to put the game in Kyler’s hands, the Lions have given up 312.4 passing yards per game and 25 FPG to quarterbacks. This game has a line of 46 points, which might be low if the Lions get rolling at home and Kyler and Co. keep up.
