What To Do If You Missed Out On Ollie Gordon, Braelon & More On The Week 4 Waiver Wire

Did you lose Breece Hall or De'Von Achane last week? Hurting at RB? Let's run through some waiver wire options who are still availabe in at least half of Yahoo leagues.

Week 4 brought us the first waiver wire run this season, where multiple backup running backs were stepping into lucrative opportunities, while there are simultaneously a lot of fantasy managers hurting at running back because of the starters going down.

Ollie Gordon and Braelon Allen have been the most-touted running backs on the waiver wire, with Jaylen Wright being another name to target. Your league's waiver wire and FAAB spending likely got aggressive with these players, and potentially pushed you out of the running to land them.

Were you someone who missed out on these waiver claims? Let's highlight a few insurance options that might still be available to help you pivot and fill your roster's void who are still available in at least 50% of Yahoo leagues.

RB Waiver Wire Targets If You Missed Out On Ollie Gordon, Braelon Allen, and Jaylen Wright

Alvin Kamara & Kendre Miller | Saints

  • Available (Yahoo): Kamara (50%), Miller (96%)

With Travis Etienne aggravating a hamstring injury in Week 3, he's slated to miss time, and it sounds like it could be a significant amount:

After he left the game, both Kamara (60% attempts, 42% routes) and Miller got involved (40% attempts, 26% routes), while CJ Donaldson also saw over 20% of the snaps. I would expect a committee centered around Kamara and Miller the most, with Kamara getting the high-value touches and Miller splitting base work. In an offense running the most plays per game (70.7) and ranking 2nd in dropback percentage (69%), Kamara feels like he has legit RB2 upside in the interim. Miller has flex appeal, especially in a Monday Night Football game against a leaky Falcons defense.

Keaton Mitchell | Chargers

  • Available (Yahoo): 66%

Dwain McFarland listed Mitchell as one of his running back targets on the waiver wire in his Utilization Report, noting: "Mitchell scored 13.7 points in Week 3 against Buffalo. It was his largest role of the season, handling 36% of snaps, 31% of attempts, and collecting a 10% target share on a 37% route share. The explosive playmaker could carve out some standalone value with Omarion Hampton struggling early. Mitchell is available in 68% of Yahoo leagues and is an RB4 with RB2 contingent upside."

Emanuel Wilson | Seahawks

  • Available (Yahoo): 81%

The fears of a full-blown committee in Seattle are real, with all of Wilson, Jadarian Price, and George Holani playing at least 31% of the snaps (Wilson), with no player seeing more than 36% (Price). That said, Wilson is leading the backfield in rush attempts (42%) and has garnered 55% of the inside-the-five attempts and 61% of the short-down-and-distance snaps. After Price's Week 3 fumble, Wilson saw his share jump to 53% of the backfield attempts and posted a team-high 38% snap rate out of the backfield. He doesn't bring much to the table in the receiving game; he has long-shot multi-TD upside on an elite offense. If your waiver wire is barren at the RB position, Wilson is worth a stab.

Others to target (sub-50% rostered on Yahoo): Ty Johnson (BUF), Brian Robinson (ATL), Mike Washington Jr. (LV)
