Will Mark Andrews' Projections Aid In Your Fantasy Football Draft?
In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter, presented by Hims.
With the 4th of July in the rearview mirror, it's officially (or unofficially) the start of draft season! Since we just celebrated with fireworks, I wanted to keep the festivities going and see which players could spark your fantasy teams this season. Underdog drafts are in full swing, but let's compare them to our projections at Fantasy Life to see who could boom past their ADPs …
Trevor Lawrence | QB | JAX
- Underdog ADP: QB10
- FL Projections: QB8
It’s not a crazy difference between where Trevor Lawrence is being drafted and his projections, but isn't fun to believe we've finally seen a turn for Lawrence? From Week 12 through the Wild Card round, he averaged 25.4 points per game.
It felt like he finally clicked with Liam Coen and everything went right through the air and on the ground—Lawrence accounted for 10% of the designed rush attempts and had a 7% scramble rate. He's projected for 3,776 passing yards and 31 total touchdowns in 2026, all leading to a potential 304 total fantasy points. Sign me up!
Derrick Henry | RB | BAL
- Underdog ADP: RB12
- FL Projections: RB6
He's still the king for a reason. Derrick Henry's season last year wasn't as incredible as 2024, but damn he was still good. He finished with 1,595 rushing yards (second most in the NFL) and had 24 carries inside the 5-yard line. Is it risky? Drafting any running back at 32 years old always carries some risk, but Henry has played at least 15 games in all but one of his 10 NFL seasons. He's running at a high level, but he's still a non-factor as a receiver and that doesn't change in the projections for the upcoming season …
- Rushing yards: 1,404
- Rushing touchdowns: 13
- Targets: 22
- Receptions: 19
- Receiving yards: 174
Jaylen Waddle | WR | DEN
- Underdog ADP: WR24
- FL Projections: WR16
A change in teams for Jaylen Waddle hasn't pushed fantasy drafters as far as I expected in early drafts. Is it the presence of Courtland Sutton that isn't getting him into the top 20? Waddle has performed for years with a combination of mediocre quarterback play and Tyreek Hill on the field. And yet, in those five seasons he still averaged 75 receptions, 1,008 yards and 5.4 touchdowns. The projections tell a story of Waddle still coming through for fantasy managers …
- Waddle: 122 targets / 82 receptions / 1,092 receiving yards / 229.3 PPR Fantasy Points
- Sutton: 108 targets / 68 receptions / 911 receiving yards / 199.9 PPR Fantasy Points
I'm taking advantage of this price before drafters start coming around to the idea that this is a huge upgrade with Waddle in Denver.
Mark Andrews | TE | BAL
- Underdog ADP: TE11
- FL Projections: TE8
This isn't a crazy difference between ADP and projections, but still fun to talk about a player who is going outside the first 10 rounds on Underdog. He scored just 5 touchdowns last season, finishing as the TE24 in fantasy points per game (minimum 250 routes run). For 2026 he's projected for 597 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. 2025 was a down season for Andrews, but a new coaching staff and Isaiah Likely leaving are pivotal for an Andrews turnaround.
He's going to score more touchdowns in an offense that's hungry to prove that a Super Bowl is within reach.

Positive Regression Coming for Saquon Barkley?
The 2024 version of Saquon Barkley was beyond cinema. The long runs. The hurdle heard ‘round the world. The 2,000+ yards. The tons of fantasy points. If you took the Round 2 flier on Saquon, you were rewarded with one of those dream seasons we talk about for years to come.
But the Super Bowl-winning season came with a toll. After logging 482 touches in his Eagles debut, so many were predicting he’d come back to earth. No one could have predicted O-line injuries to the formerly bullet-proof group. Nor an offense that took a step backward. While some things are different for the Eagles heading into 2026, a huge role is still expected for Saquon. Adam Pfeifer swoops in to determine if the Philly RB is a bounceback candidate.

Dynasty Stock Watch: This Ladd is on the Rise
We know about the excitement for A.J. Brown going to the Patriots to play with Drake Maye. And then there’s the anticipation of Mike McDaniel dialing up explosive plays for Ladd McConkey and the Chargers. Is that enough to pay up to trade for both players in dynasty?
