Week 7 Guillotine Leagues™ Bidding Advice: How Much FAAB To Bid On Jahmyr Gibbs & More

Joe Metz breaks down how to approach the highly chopped players on the Week 7 waiver wire in Guillotine Leagues™.

Published

If you're reading this, congratulations are in order for surviving Chop #6 on the Guillotine Leagues™ season (if you started in Week 1). Hopefully you were able to use last week's article to navigate the waiver wire successfully with some good offenses on byes. Unfortunately, we have another handful of elite players on bye in Week 7 (Josh Allen, oof).

Before I jump into the Week 7 Guillotine Leagues™ bidding advice regarding the most highly chopped players of the week (10%+), a handful of housekeeping items:

  • Bid recommendations will be pulled directly from our Guillotine Leagues™ Waiver Wire Tool. The tool offers the ability to gauge bids by type (aggressive, conservative, average, etc.), league size, and recommendations relative to your remaining FAAB.
  • The players included in this article will be among the 10 most chopped players from the previous week. This data is pulled directly from Guillotine Leagues™.
  • Not every bid recommendation will come from the same settings. For example, if Ja'Marr Chase is on the waiver wire, I am more likely to bid aggressively on him than a mid-tier player further down the list, who I might place an 'average' bid on.
  • If you have not yet synced your Guillotine Leagues™ with our fantasy football league sync—do it. There is no better way to get fully personalized and actionable recommendations to help you survive the chop.
  • REMINDER: You can still create/enter new Guillotine Leagues™ ahead of Week 6 with single-chop leagues of up to 12 people. Join a league today!

FAAB Bidding Advice For Week 7 In Guillotine Leagues™

Chopped Players Due To Injury Or Bye Week

Tyler Warren (TE, IND), 13.93% chopped: Warren missed the Colts' Week 6 game after aggravating the same groin injury he dealt with during the preseason. It was a late injury tag, as he first appeared on the injury report as a limited participant last Friday before subsequently missing the game Sunday. Because of the ambiguity and the fact that it's a re-aggravation, I'm most comfortable passing here given the potential he could miss this week's game, too. Recommended Bid: Pass

Jahmyr Gibbs (RB, DET), 12.96%: The crown jewel of not just this waiver run, but any waiver run going forward. The best asset in fantasy football's bye is now behind him, and there is no other player with a higher floor/ceiling combination. This is as close to an all-in bid as you can get. Recommended Bid: 75-80% (aggressive)

Davante Adams (WR, LAR), 12.84%: Adams ruptured his hamstring in the Rams' Week 6 loss to the Cardinals and is expected to miss the next 6-10 weeks. Recommended Bid: Pass.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR, DET), 12.68%: St. Brown brings with him a high floor and high ceiling, but with the likelihood that a Gibbs or Bijan is on your waiver wire, he's a tier or two below them on the priority list. He's failed to crack the top-20 receiver mark in three straight contests, but has a get-right spot against a leaky Packers D in Week 7 and has posted a target share of at least 34% in five of his six games. I'm in on this bidding, but not going nuts. Recommended Bid: 37-40% (average)

Terry McLaurin (WR, WAS), 12.26%: Reports on Tuesday confirmed that McLaurin's 2026 season is sadly over. He's an obvious avoid, and it's important to consider the fantasy fallout for players like Stefon Diggs, Antonio Williams, and Chig Okonkwo in his place. Recommended Bid: Pass

Highly Chopped Players To Bid On In Guillotine Leagues™ For Week 7 (Of Top-10 Most Chopped Players)

Derrick Henry (RB, BAL), 17.59% chopped: There are a lot of elite RBs with high chop rates this week, and there's a chance Henry falls through the cracks if your league has one (or both) of Gibbs or Bijan Robinson available. With Lamar Jackson on the mend, this is the time to buy the Big Dog. He's failed to crack 60% of the snaps in back-to-back weeks and is coming off of a season-low RB40 finish (5.0 points), but this is more a reflection of his lack of involvement in trailing game scripts than a fall-off in performance/ability. With Jackson coming back, we can expect his gravitational pull to open up lanes for Henry and lead to the more familiar RB1 finishes we saw in Weeks 1-3 (RB1, RB6, RB4). Recommended Bid: 22-25% (average)

Bijan Robinson (RB, ATL), 13.81%: If Gibbs isn't available in your league, Robinson is your No. 1 priority. His Week 6 floor game stung (7.3 points, RB32 finish), but it was actually his best game of the season in terms of rush attempt share (82%) and second-highest snap share (78%) of the season. Unlike Gibbs, Robinson does still have a bye week on the docket, but he's as close to a sure-thing you can get at the RB position. Recommended Bid: 32-35% (Average)

Other players to bid on in Week 7: Ja'Marr Chase (WR, CIN, 12.1% chopped), Kyren Williams (RB, LAR, 11.52%), Justin Jefferson (WR, MIN, 11.28%), Michael Wilson (WR, ARI, 11.25%), Garrett Wilson (WR, NYJ, 10.82%), Nico Collins (WR, HOU, 10.7%), A.J. Brown (WR, NE, 10.23%)

Players To Avoid Bidding On In Week 7 Guillotine Leagues™

Cam Skattebo (RB, NYG), 16.61% chopped: Even with Najee Harris getting waived by the Giants on Tuesday, I'm way too spooked by this backfield to buy into Skattebo one week after he failed to log a single carry. Is he the most talented RB on this roster? Probably. Does that seem to right now to the coaching staff? Not really. Until we have clarity in this backfield, I'm out.

Juwan Johnson (TE, NO), 13.31%: Johnson got goose-egged in Week 6, travels to Paris in Week 7, and is then on bye in Week 8. After that, we could see Jordyn Tyson return, relegating Johnson to the No. 3 option in the pass game.

Other players to avoid bidding on in Week 7: Harold Fannin (TE, CLE, 11.63%), MarShawn Lloyd (RB, GB, 11.44%), Emanuel Wilson (RB, SEA, 10.78%)
