After Oregon fell to Oklahoma State while the cracks in Ohio State’s armor have widened, the spotlight is shining brighter on Georgia and Miami, two contenders for the national championship. Both high-powered offenses headline our predictions for Week 3, creating profitable trading opportunities while exploiting a pair of defenses that underwhelm in coverage.

College Football Predictions for Week 3

Georgia Over 41.5 Points Scored, Yes (48%, Kalshi)

With continuity at the skill positions while led by a Heisman-contending QB, the Georgia Bulldogs have been able to get off to a hot start, ranking in the top 25 in success rate, finishing drives and explosiveness. Gunnar Stockton has been efficient in his two starts, throwing for a total of 436 yards and eight touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes.

Heading into their Week 3 matchup against Arkansas, expect the Bulldogs to consistently move the ball down the field by attacking a defense that resides in the bottom half of the board in success rate. The Razorbacks' front seven is giving up explosive plays at a high rate, making it easier for Georgia’s RBs to flip the field position in a flash.

With Stockon facing minimal resistance in his efforts to keep the Bulldogs' drives alive, they will be able to score at a high rate, skyrocketing their team total in the process. If you want to trade as the game progresses, wait until Georgia puts their backups in with intentions of betting the under on a higher team total at odds longer than your original wager to lock in a profit.

Miami Wins by Over 20.5 Points, Yes (53%, Kalshi)

Like the Bulldogs, the Miami Hurricanes have also looked very impressive, winning their first two games by a combined score of 122-13. While it did come at the expense of Stanford and Florida A&M, their efficiency on offense has been noteworthy, leading the nation in success rate while hovering in the top 20 in finishing drives and havoc allowed.

The connection between Darian Mensah and Malachi Toney has been a spectacle to watch, with the Hurricanes star WR hauling in 16 receptions for 330 yards and four touchdowns. Toney’s presence on the outside helps create space for his teammates to exploit, widening the width of Mensah’s passing lanes at multiple levels of the field.

In a favorable matchup against Wake Forest, expect the Hurricanes to set a scoring pace far too fast for the Demon Deacons to keep up with by taking advantage of a defense that ranks near dead last in defensive pass success rate and in EPA. With the Hurricanes' number bouncing between the key number of 21, it’s vital you place your first trade on the Yes at no higher than 20.5.

UTEP Over 7.5 Points Scored, No (68%, Kalshi)

While their 2-0 start to the year has certainly been turbulent, the Michigan Wolverines have been consistent on defense, ranking well above league average in defensive explosiveness and finishing drives. The success on defense has been critical, masking an offense that has been unable to find its footing while Bryce Underwood continues to struggle with his consistency.

Fortunately for the Wolverines, their front seven will be able to build on this momentum against UTEP by using their size advantage in the trenches to consistently collapse the pocket and stall out the offense. With less time to let plays develop, the Miners' pass catchers will be unable to break away from the Wolverines coverage, plummeting the probability of hauling in a contested catch.
