NFL DFS Value Plays For Week 3: Kyler Murray, Rashod Bateman & More

We have arrived at Week 3 of the NFL season. We get 13 games on Sunday to break down for the DFS main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel. I'm going to be breaking down the top NFL DFS value plays on the slate—players that are not only in great spots, but will allow you to build out the rest of your lineup with spend-ups.

Almost every week, with injuries or some mispricing, there are cheap value plays that project very well and are even cash-game staples for that week. We’ve got some very enticing value pieces for us this week; let's get into it!

Week 3 NFL DFS Value Plays For DraftKings & FanDuel

Kyler Murray - MIN QB ($5,100 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel)

The slate's highest point-per-dollar QB, Kyler Murray, is in a good spot here coming off of his Week 1 injury. An early hit to start his season kept him out through Week 2, but he has cleared concussion protocol and looks to truly start his season here vs. the Buccaneers. His price comes in the bottom half of the slate's QBs, but he projects much better than that. He should be $500-$800 more expensive here on both sites. The matchup is also good against a Bucs team that has given up a lot of points to start the year and hasn't found their groove yet.

Rashod Bateman - BAL WR ($4,700 DraftKings, $6,500 FanDuel)

Another injury beneficiary, as most value players are, is Rashod Bateman. Zay Flowers went down late in the first half in Week 1 and missed Week 2. To start the week off, Flowers is not practicing, which is not good for his Week 3 outlook. Assuming that he misses, Bateman and Mark Andrews get a considerable boost. Bateman exploded for 7 rec on 9 targets, 88 yards and a TD last week in Flowers’ absence, and will be in the same role this week if he misses again. He’s a good click in both cash and GPPs.

KC Concepcion - CLE WR ($4,300 DraftKings, $5,400 FanDuel)

Next, KC Concepcion has instantly inserted himself as the Browns' top WR, and we get him in a matchup that will be better than most for this Browns team. The Panthers started the year giving up 59 points to the Bears, then bounced back in a big way, not allowing a touchdown vs. a struggling Falcons team. Concepcion laid a goose egg in Week 1, which was quoted as being due to the lack of simply finding him.

He bounced back in Week 2 with 6 receptions for 28 yards. I’m going to like him more and more as the season goes on and he gets acclimated to his new home here in Cleveland. I like the price here on Concepcion, and on a slate with less value than we had the previous two weeks, it's definitely worth a click. He's a great filler piece to round out your lineups.

Xavier Worthy - KC WR ($4,400 DraftKings, $6,000 FanDuel)

Xavier Worthy holds a decent floor, as well as some of the most big-play upside in the league. With this Chiefs WR room condensing over the years, we have seen Worthy turn from a long shot dart thrown into someone with a very secure role. He's the team's second option behind Rashee Rice, although he has seemingly closed that gap due to his development and trust that he has gained. Worthy played 86% of the team's snaps in Week 2 and was given many looks in the short passing game. Similar to Concepcion, he is a good filler click into lineups, and holds immense upside with his big-play ability.

Jameis Winston - NYG QB ($4,000 DraftKings, $6,400 FanDuel)

Last, I'm going to mention the Giants starting QB for the foreseeable future. Jaxson Dart went down early in the Giants' Week 2 matchup vs. the Rams. Winston came in, and it was not pretty, to say the least. This was a hard spot for him to be thrown into, and the Giants went down quickly early. It got no easier for the Giants, who seemingly just kept throwing deep shots to give themself a chance, and it was not successful. Jameis Winston is still a viable QB in this league, and with a true game plan and a full game, he should have a much better outcome in an easier matchup vs. the Titans. I like him here at the minimum price (DraftKings only). He is also viable in cash games, as it allows you to get more spend-ups into your lineup.
