Dynasty Buy-Low Candidates: Kyler Murray, Rome Odunze And More

Jonathan Fuller examines the dynasty landscape for some of the best buy-low players for fantasy managers to target.

We are in the thick of dynasty rookie draft season and trade markets are starting to heat up. If you haven't taken the plunge and sent out trade offers yet, now is the time to get started. If you're at all in the hunt for a championship, finding players to buy low on in the offseason is a great way to put your roster over the top from contender to favorite.

In this article I will examine a handful of my favorite dynasty buy-low targets who can do just that when added to a competitive roster. These are players who I think have a better-than-expected outlook for the 2026 season and should carry value for multiple years into the future.

Players to Buy Low in Dynasty Fantasy Football

I believe the market has not reacted strongly enough to Kyler Murray joining the Minnesota Vikings. Yes, last year was a disaster for both the Vikings offense and Murray in Arizona. However, the long-term track record for both is significantly better. Kevin O'Connell has been able to design above-average offenses for basically every QB he has worked with, except for J.J. McCarthy.

If you zoom out, the track records for both KOC QBs and Kyler Murray are really strong. The Vikings’ HC has gotten top-12 QB play from less-talented players at the position, while Kyler has put up top-10 fantasy seasons in every season where he has played at least 14 games.

Minnesota has an excellent group of pass catchers with Jauan Jennings now joining the established group of Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson. That is one of the best sets of weapons available to any QB in the NFL. Even if Murray's rushing output declines moving forward, he is plenty capable as a passer to deliver fringe QB1 fantasy performances in this offense, but his dynasty startup ADP values him closer to QB20.

Murray is not without risk, he has missed plenty of games due to injury and has had down stretches in his career. But the cost is low enough and the upside is high enough that I like betting on a bounceback for Kyler in Minnesota.

LAC_chargers-logo.svg All the Chargers?!?

OK, I'll admit this is a bit of hyperbole because they can't all be considered buy lows, but I am in on basically every piece of the Chargers offense in 2026, and most of them are young enough to be good long-term dynasty buys. Of their main players, it is probably only Ladd McConkey and Oronde Gadsden who could be considered players to buy low on.

McConkey is coming off a down season in 2025 after a great rookie campaign. He was a solid prospect so I believe his future will look more like his rookie season than his second season.

I believe we will be reminded of Mike McDaniel’s genius now that he is back in an OC role and doesn't have to deal with the additional pressures of a head coaching role. He will also get to work with a significantly better QB in Justin Herbert. For as much success as he has in Miami, I can't help but think McDaniel was somewhat limited by Tua Tagovailoa's inability to push the ball down the field. Herbert will face no such limitations and I am excited to see the offense designed for him.

I have been actively trying to trade for McConkey, Gadsden and Keaton Mitchell, but I would be happy to make a deal to acquire any of the Chargers key pieces, if possible. I don't think you'll get Herbert orHampton at any kind of a discount, but you should be sending out offers for anyone and everyone on this offense.

CHI_bears-logo.svg Rome Odunze | WR | Bears

The Bears are an ascending team and the offense is deservedly getting a lot of attention in fantasy drafts. The market is extremely confident that Luther Burden and Colston Loveland are the primary weapons. I love both of those players, but they are causing Rome Odunze to be overlooked in most formats.

Odunze improved in every notable metric from his rookie season to Year 2. Now DJ Moore is gone and the passing game should be highly concentrated around the top 3 pass catchers. I want to have pieces of this Bears offense and Odunze represents the best value of the bunch. At just 24 years old, he still has room to improve and we often see WRs take a leap in their third year, so I don't think we can definitively say we know what Odunze's ceiling is yet.

Yes, I would be more excited to roster Burden or Loveland, but the prices reflect that, and then some. Trading for an overlooked player like Odunze is a great way to profit if the Chicago offense delivers on its potential. He saw 35% of the end-zone targets for Chicago last season and should benefit if Caleb Williams continues to improve as a passer. A double-digit receiving TD season is very possible if the Bears offense takes another step forward in 2026.

TB_buccaneers-logo.svg Rachaad White | RB | Buccaneers

He may not have gotten a big contract in free agency, but Rachaad White is poised for a significant role with the Washington Commanders. Not only is he former college teammates with Jayden Daniels, he also has a unique skill set among the backs on Washington’s roster. White is the most accomplished pass catcher and pass protector, and should slot right in as the primary receiving back.

White isn't a dynamic rusher, but he is capable of handling volume when called upon. I believe the most likely outcome is that Jacory Croskey-Merritt or Jerome Ford serves as the primary ballcarrier while White handles the passing-game work. However, there is absolutely a range of outcomes that includes White playing a meaningful role in the rushing game. Whether that is through injury or poor play on the part of the other backs, White is the type of player who coaches know they can trust.

I don't expect White to be someone who puts up monster fantasy performances, but he is the type of player who can be a consistent RB2 or FLEX option on a good dynasty team for the next few seasons, and you can likely acquire him for a middle-round rookie pick.
