Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets: Chiefs WRs Are Cheap Players To Buy

What a doozy this weekend was. Whether it be the result of injuries or changing roles, there are new names to watch as dynasty fantasy footbal trade targets ahead of Week 3. Let's dive in.

Week 3 Trade Targets For Dynasty Fantasy Football

Emanuel Wilson, RB - Seahawks

In dynasty fantasy football leagues, the long-term answer from Seattle's backfield is most certainly newcomer Jadarian Price. The talented first-round rookie has the makings of a star player, and the early returns have been positive.

However, Price suffered a shoulder injury in Week 2, and his status moving forward remains unclear. In his place, newly signed veteran Emanuel Wilson handled 21 rushing attempts for 92 yards.

While it was George Holani who served as the RB2 in Week 1, Wilson dominated the touches this past weekend. I think this is more indicative of how the roles will be divided moving forward, as Wilson has a much stronger track record of production.

Wilson was a staple of the Green Bay backfield over the last few years, where he admirably served as a complementary piece to Josh Jacobs. In fact, as the secondary option, here's what Wilson managed to rack up over his last two seasons:

34 of 34 games played

Those are solid numbers for any RB2 on a given roster. Considering Zach Charbonnet (knee) is still a few weeks away from being eligible to practice, Wilson becomes a primary trade target in dynasty fantasy football leagues. He's also a priority waiver target if he's available in any of your leagues out there.

Khalil Shakir, WR - Bills

When a team makes a significant financial investment in a player, that tells you exactly how they feel without them having to step in front of a microphone.

That's how I feel about Khalil Shakir. Very quietly, he's finished as a low-end WR3 in each of the last two seasons. While he's only topped 800 receiving yards once in his career and has never scored more than four TDs in a single season, I still think there's value to be had in your dynasty formats despite the fact that the Bills acquired DJ Moore and still have Keon Coleman.

Shakir is currently in the midst of a four-year/$53-million deal that runs through 2029. That alone gives me some level of confidence that he'll remain a key part of this offense moving forward.

Yes, Moore gives Josh Allen a true No. 1 option, which is something we all want for him, but Shakir operates better as a No. 2 option in the short/intermediate area of the field anyway.

However, with Moore (shoulder) currently day-to-day, it was Coleman who stepped up into a larger role in Week 2, securing all six targets for 63 yards. Even with Dalton Kincaid suddenly looking like the top-end talent we all thought (hoped) he could be, Shakir is someone I don't mind snagging as a small piece in dynasty formats to fill out the back of my roster.

There's enough historical production to warrant sliding Shakir into one of your flex spots, especially if Moore misses any time or is limited at all. Allen trusts Shakir, and this offense is going to score a ton of points in 2026.

Antonio Williams, WR - Commanders

There's a very strong chance we've seen the last of Jayden Daniels in 2026. He suffered a dislocation of his left (non-throwing) elbow on Sunday, and Marcus Mariota is already expected to start in Week 3, and likely beyond.

This provides the ideal opportunity to buy low on players who could struggle in 2026 but who I believe still offer significant value moving forward.

That's where Antonio Williams comes in.

The Commanders drafted Williams in the third round, and he profiled as someone who could make an impact right away.

Behind Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs, Williams will likely continue to operate underneath as his stature (5-foot-11, 187 pounds) and YAC ability lend themselves to someone who can effectively produce from the slot. Dwain McFarland noted the same in his prospect profile:

There are some intriguing names on that list that should at least catch your eye.

While I was more excited about Williams before Diggs made his way to Washington, I'm fine reframing my expectations and simply trading for and stashing Williams for the time being. The injury to Daniels only adds to the notion that we'll need to be patient with Williams from a dynasty perspective.

Xavier Worthy / Tyquan Thornton, WRs - Chiefs

I can't tell if I'm being drawn back in or if there's something legitimate here, but I want pieces of this Chiefs passing attack in 2026.

Yes, Kenneth Walker will carry this offense as far as he can, but there will still be times throughout this season when Patrick Mahomes is going to look to flip the field in a single play. That's why I'm in on guys like Xavier Worthy and/or Tyquan Thornton.

We've already seen it play out through two weeks. Worthy is the more involved, consistent option if you had to pick one of the two. However, Thornton is also a sub-4.3-second 40-yard dash speedster who can take the top off of any defense.

Travis Kelce turned back the clock on Sunday night and finished with double-digit targets (something he hadn't done since Week 11 of 2025) and 100+ receiving yards (something he hadn't done since Week 9 of 2024). All that is to say, I don't think that will be the new norm for him moving forward.

Rashee Rice still profiles as the No. 1 option in this passing attack, but I still want some exposure to both Worthy and Thornton as we head into Week 3 and beyond. This Chiefs offense might look a bit different than the previous version we grew accustomed to, but it's still potent and will make defenses pay if they are caught lacking on the back end.
