Week 9 Most-Chopped Players for Guillotine Leagues

Zay Flowers | WR | Ravens

The most-chopped player to hardly any fault of his own, Zay Flowers' ceiling has been handicapped while Lamar Jackson struggles to stay on the field. With Tyler Huntley also dealing with an injury, Flowers will be reliant on a third-string QB—or one outside the organization—to be productive, making the Ravens' WR worth a small bid at best.

Bijan Robinson | RB | Falcons

Even though Bijan Robinson has failed to score since Week 4, the Falcons star RB has still been able to rattle off at least 60 yards per game. With positive regression looming large in the touchdown department, place a hefty bid for the elite dual-threat back.

Lamar Jackson | QB | Ravens

After suffering an injury in the first play of the game, question marks linger over Lamar Jackson’s season-long outlook, making him too risky for a bid until we get a better understanding of the timetable for his return.

Drake London | WR | Falcons

Before a clunker against Tampa Bay, Drake London was playing at a competitive level on a weekly basis, leaping up to top-15 for the position in half-PPR scoring. While his QB situation is less than ideal, London’s workload will help keep him viable, making him worth a bid to add to the roster.

Christian McCaffrey | RB | 49ers

Fresh off a bye, Christian McCaffrey is expected to be back to near full health while dealing with a mild hamstring strain, putting him in line for a full workload moving forward, which makes the San Francisco 49ers RB worth a sizable bid.

Jonathan Taylor | RB | Colts

Even when playing in an offense that resides in the bottom 2 in EPA per play, Jonathan Taylor has still been able to thrive, entering Week 9 ranked 6th in half-PPR scoring. While the opportunity is there, it’s tough to envision Taylor sustaining his high level of play. Temper your expectations while placing a small bid, but that could become a bargain if he gets traded to a better offensive environment.

DK Metcalf | WR | Steelers

Since the start of the regular season, DK Metcalf has been unable to find his footing, falling down to 31st for the position in half-PPR scoring while registering over 10.0 points in just three out of his eight games. With no signs of turning it around anytime soon, pass on Metcalf.

Parker Washington | WR | Jaguars

In a loaded WR room, Parker Washington has emerged as Trevor Lawrence’s go-to target. With Jacksonville’s second half of their schedule looking friendly on paper, Washington will be able to build on his momentum, making the Jags WR worth an addition to the roster.

Javonte Williams | RB | Cowboys

The RB1 of an offense that hovers near the top of the board in DVOA and in EPA per play, Javonte Williams has been able to capitalize on his favorable situation while ranking 9th in half-PPR scoring, making him worth an aggressive bid to help bolster your RB room.

Sam LaPorta | TE | Lions

While there is no denying Sam LaPorta’s talent, the Detroit Lions are loaded with high-caliber skill players, chipping away at the TE’s workload. Unless you are in desperate need of a TE, avoid spending too much of your FAAB on a touchdown-dependent player.
