Players To Watch On Day 2 Of The NFL Draft: Denzel Boston, Eli Stowers and More

Chris Allen breaks down five players to watch on Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Absolute cinema.

The crew here at Fantasy Life spent months reviewing each prospect. Our NFL Mock Drafts (including our Round 2 NFL Mock Draft) considered as many logical scenarios as possible. But the NFL reminded us that reason goes out the window when you're on the clock. And now it's time to buckle up for Day 2.

Of course, we've already got you covered with everything you need to know about the skill-position players’ landing spots, fantasy winners and losers from Day 1 and a fully up-to-date NFL Draft Big Board with landing spot assignments.

But real quick, let's take a look at the best players available in the NFL Draft, specifically five players to watch on Day 2.

Five Players To Watch On Day 2 Of The NFL Draft

Denzel Boston | WR

Freedman had the former Huskies' WR going to the Dolphins at 30th overall in his final mock, so seeing Denzel Boston toward the top of the BPA list isn't a surprise. Coincidentally, the 49ers are set to kick off the second round (if they opt to keep the pick), the same team Boston had a top-30 visit with last month. Dwain compared Boston to Michael Pittman Jr., capable of working the short and intermediate parts of the field. If San Francisco doesn't make the ball, the Raiders at 2.36 should be another suitor for the big-time WR.

Chris Bell | WR

So, Gene had some notes on Chris Bell that I can't get out of my head:

"He may be one of the best yards-after-catch threats in the entire 2026 class. He can elude blockers and tacklers, but also run them over if necessary. Whoever decides to take a chance on him could inherit a receiver poised to make a major Year 2 contribution to the team."

Kansas City focused on defense yesterday, and they missed out on multiple linemen to protect Patrick Mahomes. Unless they try to pick up G Emmanuel Pregnon, pairing a YAC threat in Bell with Rashee Rice would be another way to bring back the spark to the offense in '26.

Eli Stowers | TE

OK, hear me out.

So, this relationship between GM Les Snead and Ty Simpson's dad adds some fuel to the "disconnect" regarding the pick. However, let's say Snead turns to his other buddy, HC Sean McVay, and assures him they'll go after somebody to help the offense. And with Kenyon Sadiq drafted by the Jets and already off the board, Stowers to either the Rams or Broncos (who hosted Stowers for a visit) makes sense here.

Germie Bernard | WR

I take back what I said about Denzel Boston to San Francisco. According to Freedman, Germie Bernard fits the offense a bit better:

"At 6-foot-1 and 206 pounds, his Devin Duvernay comp fits the alignment versatility—boundary, slot, auxiliary tailback."

I can already see 49ers' fans calling Bernard "Deebo 2.0." There'll be AI videos with Christian McCaffrey and Bernard in the backfield together. Baltimore has a read-option package with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry? Try Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and Germie Bernard. OK, Jackson and Henry are more physically imposing, but I'm sure HC Kyle Shanahan would make that trio look cooler on the field together.

Mike Washington Jr. | RB

I wanted to mention Mike Washington since, after the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price, the RB class takes a step down in talent. The Arkansas product doesn't have a strong receiving profile, but teams like the Falcons, Colts and Panthers (who don't typically involve their RB2 in the passing game) would be ideal fits.
