Secondary: The pass defense that just allowed the seventh-highest single-season opponent passer rating in NFL history should consider finding some better players.

EDGE: While the Cowboys actually did generate the seventh-most pressure last season, they were still just 22nd in sacks. Things weren't much better against the run: This defense allowed the seventh most yards per carry as well. Continuing to fortify the line of scrimmage is the fastest way to help improve this group against the pass and run alike. 

Linebacker: At a minimum this front office should strongly consider using multiple Day 3 picks on the position.

Offensive Line: This is the league's 10th-cheapest unit entering 2026 — it's probably a good idea to do everything possible to limit the amount of hits on Jaxson Dart in the pocket considering the young signal-caller's lack of risk aversion on the move.

Secondary: It'd make sense if an improved scheme helps unleash what still looks like a lethal pass rush … on paper. But either way it's probably about time the Giants look to get a true difference-maker in their back-end.

Wide Receiver: This squad boasts the league's 10th-cheapest group of pass catchers as a whole when including tight ends ahead of 2026. Adding more resources in the draft — like Carnell Tate at pick No. 5 — in an effort to get the most out of Jaxson Dart is encouraged.

Tight End: Considering Grant Calcaterra (Round 6, 2022) is the only tight end Philly has drafted since Dallas Goedert back in 2018, it's probably about time for the team to add some new blood at the position.

EDGE: Midseason addition Jaelan Phillips joins unretired Brandon Graham as free agents. This leaves the Eagles with the sixth-fewest 2026 dollars devoted to their EDGE room, although simply bringing back Phillips would make a lot of sense.

Secondary: The team has done a great job drafting early-round plus starters in the secondary in recent years. This might again be necessary should Howie Roseman and company not love the available options in free agency.

Pass Catcher: Noah Brown, Chris Moore, and Treylon Burks are all hitting the open market, and former third-round pick Luke McCaffrey simply hasn't managed to get much going through two seasons. Expecting to get the most out of Jayden Daniels with so little behind Terry McLaurin doesn't seem realistic.

EDGE: Two of the front office's three Rounds 1-3 picks on the front seven during the last five drafts were used on defensive tackles. The least the team can do ahead of 2026 is supply the coaching staff with more youthful talent coming off the edge.

Cornerback: Something needs to change here in a meaningful way ahead of 2026 if the team wants to improve a pass defense that is fresh off allowing the fifth-most passing yards and third-most passing touchdowns.
