In today's Fantasy Life Newsletter:
I have a confession …
Since the NFL Draft, I’ve already drafted 68 teams (so close to being a nice number).
And up until this point, I’ve mainly just been vibing in these best ball drafts. I’d like to think I know what I’m doing, but I have yet to fully examine my exposures and review how my portfolio is shaking out.
So, um, let’s take a look now, compliments of the Best Ball Hub …
The exciting: Bhayshul Tuten (29%). I strongly believe that there will be a massive fantasy winner from the Jags backfield in 2025. It sets up very similarly to the Dolphins backfield from two years ago when both De’Von Achane and Raheem Mostert were undervalued due to ambiguity and smashed their ADPs. I like Travis Etienne, too, but I want my biggest bet on the rookie.
The terrifying: MarShawn Lloyd (26%). Oh no. I felt much better about this a few days ago, but then yesterday I saw that Lloyd is practicing with the “rehab” group. Not an ideal update after an injury-riddled rookie campaign. For more on the Green Bay backfield, check out Ian’s preview below.
The what?!: Jaylin Noel (23%). Noel is my favorite cost-adjusted rookie WR, but I’m still surprised to see him as my most drafted WR. I do really like the Texans offense to bounce back this year, though.
The plan: Roschon Johnson (20%) & Will Shipley (19%). Along with Lloyd, these two RBs have been specific targets for me at the end of drafts, where RB2 job security is hard to come by.

How To Avoid “The What?!”
Pete just walked you through his top exposures through 68 post-NFL draft best ball drafts.
You’ve read his strategy over the last few weeks, whether it be late-round WRs or RBs, or how to approach the pivotal Week 17, he’s welcomed you every step of the way.
Clearly, he’s as on top of things as they come in best ball land … and even he had “The What?!”. You know, that player you like, but don’t realize until after the fact just how much of them you drafted?
That’s where the best ball hub comes in. You don’t only unlock the ability to track player exposures, but Week 17 stacking correlations, team builds, and everything in between.
The Best Ball Hub is there for you when you need it most … like a best (ball) friend.
Avoid “The What?!” and make everything “The Plan” in best ball land. ⬇️

Projecting A Ceiling Case For These Quarterbacks
Imagine the possibilities if it all came together for certain quarterbacks. Maybe not Patrick Mahomes 2018—that’s an all-time season—but Sam Darnold 2024 would be more than a pleasant surprise for a group of talented QBs with high draft capital to their names. And for fantasy managers drafting them in the low rounds, passers having their breakout seasons could win titles.
Dwain McFarland researched passers who have had breakout seasons, and put them into different archetypes. Then he got out the Fantasy Life projections and looked ahead to the 2025 season for QBs like Caleb Williams, Kyler Murray, and Trevor Lawrence to see if their ceiling seasons could vault them into league-winning status. There are more to consider. ⬇️
WHAT DOES A DRAKE MAYE BREAKOUT LOOK LIKE?

Is Josh Jacobs In Danger Of A Reduced Role?
Last season, Josh Jacobs proved his down 2023 was more an issue of motivation and offensive environment than anything, as his 1,671 total yards and 16 TDs as the engine of the Packers offense helped him finish as the RB8 in PPR points per game.
Here's the thing: Jacobs ran as pure as anyone when it came to his backfield mates going down with injuries. A.J. Dillon (neck) missed the entire season, and third-rounder MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring, ankle) only wound up playing one game all year.
Why do Dillon and Lloyd matter when you have a great RB like Jacobs? Well, Matt LaFleur doesn't exactly have the cleanest history of always featuring one clear lead back. We're talking about a man who once split touches between Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis for crying out loud! (With all due respect to Lewis):

So we’ll ask again—Is Josh Jacobs in danger of a reduced role, and, if so, what does this mean for MarShawn Lloyd? ⬇️
