What is Play Action Passing Data Table?

The Fantasy Life Play Action Passing Data Table allows users to take their understanding of QB play to the next level. This tool filters each QB’s passing yards into attempts and yards gained on plays using either play-action or run-pass-option (RPO) concepts. In addition, users can view rushing attempts by the signal caller when run from either scheme (play action or RPO).

This table highlights which teams (and their passers) are incorporating either concept into their playcalling by displaying the attempts. Plus, fantasy gamers can see which squads are more successful as the yards generated sit in the adjacent column.

Play-action and RPO concepts can raise the floor of a quarterback’s efficiency. By masking the play's intent (i.e., it could be a run or a pass), the QB puts the defense in conflict. As a result, offenses have a better chance of creating explosive plays. Identifying which teams use these more often can help fantasy managers and sports bettors decide which skill players to target when setting lineups or placing bets.
